I think he does have a case bc the initial stop was not legal, nor was there a criminal violation until the the officer saw the unsigned registration. However, that was fruit from the poisonous tree since there was not probable cause for the initial stop. But, assuming innuendo, the stop was over as soon as the officer stuck his hands to the driver to hand over the tickets. The guy laughed bc he knew he hadn’t violated the code on flashing lights. I am an attorney, and I am pro-police, but they really need to check their egos. There are so many pompous officers who actually think they can order folks around and arrest them if they don’t listen. It’s a big issue.

Why would a cop get mad for you stopping someone from breaking the law?
Here in the UK, we flash our lights to 'let other drivers go' if they are waiting to turn or pull out, etc. we also flash to 'thank' other drivers for letting us have the right of way, pull out or turn, even with police, and they do it back. Its a form of communicating.
So weird that this is illegal.
We also drive around with constant high beams at night if in a poorly lit area or on country roads, and its not a problem, when cars are coming towards us, we just switch them off quickly so as not to blind the driver and flick them back on.
HOW are these people cops? they deserve all legal actions taken.
It's not a crime in West Virginia. This cop had no businesses giving him two citations. He needs to fight this to a higher court.

The cop didn't know the driver had a unsigned card he was pulled over for flashing lights so I think it's retaliation by the cop
The guy was interfering with police business which is in fact a crime. Alerting people of a speed trap might prevent the person from speeding at that moment, but what if the person speeds regularly and gets into a serious accident.
This cop sounds like James Comer.
