“It’s amazing that I’m here to talk to you,” said Oregon State Trooper Nic Cederberg. “I’m very blessed that the officers that responded had the training they did. And one guy in particular.”

  1. I'm From that Town Sherwood… In Cali now.. this story has me in Tears & Happy tears.. Sooo Proud of him and his Wife Hailey for standing by her Husband cause without her sticking it out & having the REAL Love that she does for Him… He prolly wouldn't be as far as he is! What a TRUE EXAMPLE they both set for the rest… Love this!! Congrats on a great Recovery….

  2. Cop tried to sue his own department for 30 million becuase he wasnt properly informed about the suspect but it was thrown out. They leave that part out of the story cause it kind of ruins the hero cop thing.

  3. It'd be nice if you told the accurate story without trying to dramatize it because its more heoric anyway. As the officer says, the suspect was waiting for officers to render aid and ambush them one by one.
For whatever reason instead you replay the events that the officers immediately found the down officer and started rendering aid. That is not the case and they actually had to locate the suspect first.
Not sure why this needed to be edited to "Hollywood it up" but the actual events are more heroic and gut-wrenching than how your editor portrays them… people familiar with this story can attest to this.

  4. Hands down to every officer that had to give his life, because of ….tr**h like those…dedicated to work and safety, this is beyond crime and deservr death penalty. Sincere condolences to his Family…😢

  5. Amazing story, I saw his story on the ID channel. He seems to be a down to earth normal guy. These are the hero stories that need to be told more. Not all cops are bad.

  6. This is the most suspenseful, emotional, real-life action-thrilled story. My heart keeps racing on the real-life chase and shooting with the suspect. This story is by far, my favorite of all!

God Bless to Nic and his family and to the rest of the officers who responded!!!

  7. Hansen and Cederberg should have talked about this over some sweet tea and home-baked choc chip cookies, then mabye a Hard Mikes chaser.
