This week on True Crime Daily The Podcast: Forensic neuropsychologist Dr. Judy Ho joins host Ana Garcia for our “My Favorite Case” series to discuss the trial of Jodi Arias, convicted in the gruesome murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in 2008. Arias drove from California to Arizona, had sex with Alexander, took photos of him, then stabbed him 27 times and shot him in the head and cut his throat. Arias was arrested a month later. After testifying on the stand for 18 days, Arias was convicted in 2013. Dr. Ho, who did not work directly with Arias, covered the trial as an expert analyst for media.

I would watch on YouTube.
This was the case that got me into true crime. I was a teenager, and listening/watching the trial everyday at work.
aside from this case but alot of times i forget what i said a minute earlier 😢24:18
omg Ana, the word 'trainwreck' was perfect!
She really wasn't that beautiful…mostly evil.
Can you guys PLEASE dedicate a show to comparing Jodi Arias and Amber Heard and their testimony at trial? They both claimed Domestic Abuse! The experts also battled and discussed Borderline Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Traits, Abandonment, PTSD and not being credible witnesses! Can you pleeeeease discuss this!? I need to hear Dr. Judy Ho’s opinion because of her strong position on how these claims set back real victims and survivors of DV! They’re so similar! I would really be interested in hearing thoughts on these two who are being compared to each other based on their claims! Amazing episode! I was obsessed with this case!!
Bad things happen everywhere when she blows through town. Talk about psychic energy..
Jodi's family of origin had whats called high emotional expression. They yelled at each other, bullied each other, and the household was highly tense, if not severly abusive.
There is research evidence that children growing up in a family culture of violent language or threats, over controlling or violent control, those kids develop trauma symptoms, as she described when she verbally attacked the prosecutor. High emotional expression triggers brain scramble because her internal emotional state overtakes her reason. Travis was frank and expressive, I 'm sure he went off quite often, because of her behaviours and his childhood abuse.
Getting into her head, I think she wanted to kill him in the shower. She dragged him all the way back to the shower and stuffed him in there to complete her plan, to assert her control even in death.
She may have shot him in the finale of her drama scene, not knowing he was in fact dead. Or, she might have shot him in a final gesture of contempt.

Wow, Judy is accomplished! I wonder if Jodi compares herself to the many young women who were involved in her defense either as commentators, in clinical assessment or for legal assistance.
Did Judy talk to Jody's attorneys, or is she just assuming what she knows?
Juan Martinez was an incredible prosecutor .
Jody is the cautionary tale for men😳😳
Consider how cruel all of this is if she is actually a victim of abuse and fought him off to save herself?
There is so much more evidence to her side that is never mentioned
I love this podcast. I'm addicted to Stabby because like many of us, we are unable to grasp the nature of this evil beast!
She wasn’t beautiful I wish they would stop it
"Rotting behind bars for her crime" As she should be
Don't forget her handstand in the interview room
as the song says……"you're a cold-hearted snake"
I didn't think she was pretty….To me she oozed poison from every pore.
A chameleon…changes with the surroundings. Evil to the core
I never followed the Jodie Arias Trial. And I've been following Trials since 1992. She was twisted from jump.
Dr Judy has a smile that can light up an entire room!
Just found your podcast and I love it! May I ask what about the picture behind you leaning against the wall of the pigeon study? Is it needlework?
It was her first kill, she thought it would be easier.
