Florida mom Veronica Elliott was arrested earlier this month after her 7-year-old daughter wandered into a bar just after 2 a.m. looking for help. The young girl said her mom had left her in the car. After nearly four hours of searching, police found Elliott who said she was just trying to meet a friend quickly for a beer.

That poor little girl only needs to worry about what she'll be for Halloween in a couple days, not finding help, alone and scared, at a bar at 3am. She's so articulate for her age, makes me wonder if she's been through this and worse.

Big respect for the lead officer. He was able to be both transparent, tough, and empathetic. The child should definitely be taken from her mom, the mom def relapsed and is lying about it. After already losing her father, the mom should be putting in all the effort to make sure her life is stable and loving.
