Bodycam footage from July 25th in Westminster, Colorado captured the tense moments leading up to a police officer fatally shooting 46-year-old Alysha Duran during a traffic stop. According to the Westminster Police Department, the officer approached Duran’s vehicle, which was stopped facing oncoming traffic, but Duran refused to answer any of the officer’s questions. Tensions escalated when the officer noticed Duran allegedly pulling a gun from her center console. The footage shows the panicked officer yelling “What have you got in there?” before quickly retreating behind Duran’s vehicle and firing a single fatal shot through her rear driver’s side window.

The shooting has sparked debate, with some claiming the officer acted too hastily without giving Duran a chance to explain herself, while others argue the officer followed proper procedure when faced with an apparent threat. The bullet passed through Duran and struck an uninvolved bystander’s vehicle windshield, though no other injuries were reported. The veteran officer involved has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into the incident. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie provides an in-depth breakdown analyzing the bodycam footage and discussing the controversial shooting.

I need to know what the deal was with this woman. But we may never know
The bullet hit the windshield of the jeep and embedded in the steering wheel. That is luck if we’ve ever seen it.
She gave him NO CHOICE! He did his job and this woman is obviously a dangerous and unstable individual who should NOT be driving around
It's not the officers fault.
Sup!
They’re trained to be trigger happy.
Never be sorry for defending your own life.
Just focus on teaching family values more than toxic feminist ideas on young women
Divorce/Men fearing women due to false accusations and quick loss of everything and homelessness due to divorce = lonely women = dangerous women
I don’t see any gun why they don’t show the gun? If there’s no gun in the video then it was a murder….
This makes soo sad for both.
Yes gulong jeep tv game luck y it open
The whole shooting was handled like a true effin coward. This guy should not be a cop.
Homicidal calmness, 51/50 mist dangerous.
Did she have warrants they do not say or mental high etc.
Not COOPERATING IS A BAD IDEA !
Feminists.
The crazy woman actually tried to shoot the officer.
I feel so sorry for him
No trial, no jury, no nonsense. glad she’s not here anymore to potentially hurt anyone else.
The officer was obviously not fit for duty. Utterly incompetent behavior.
Executed by a cop. 😮
My entire family is in law enforcement. I’m scared for them everyday. This broke my heart.
WHAAYAGATINER???
WHAAYAGATINER???
WHAAYAGATINER???
She's a Darwin Award nominee
He was cleared of any wrong doing by the DA.
She was unresponsive. Then she pulled a gun. Now she's forever unresponsive, a year later.
The driver looks like a man with a wig!
These poor people. It’s so sad the officer and the bystander had to experience this.
It seems like that this was the outcome she wanted all along.
Why pause the video every minute to tell what's going on in the next minute?
So annoying…
Mental illness is real
More paid vacation.. that needs to stop now!
Why should we the people pay for cops screwups
My heart goes out to her family but she put herself in that situation he was doing his job.. hes trying to help her then she treid to pull a gun
