In a tense encounter captured on bodycam footage, Florida law enforcement officers can be seen arresting two individuals who claimed to be “sovereign citizens” on November 11. The incident unfolded when Detry Wogerman and Laralynne Nabozny were stopped by police while “traveling” without a valid driver’s license. As the situation escalated, the two individuals refused to comply with the officers’ requests, leading to a charged confrontation.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, in response to the incident, issued a stern statement emphasizing that “the law is real” and that they will not hesitate to enforce it, regardless of an individual’s personal beliefs or affiliations. As a result of their actions, both Wogerman and Nabozny were charged with resisting an officer, with one of them facing the additional charge of resisting violently.

  1. Sovereign citizens are the best. I still have no idea where these people got this idea from, it's never been a thing, but its hilarious.

  2. You have to obey police commands but there are police officers who take advantage of citizens who don't know much about the laws and violated your rights, be careful, and learn the laws.

  3. The Geneva Convention concerns prisoners of war, and is an International treaty with voluntary compliance, and no stated penalties for countries that violate the treaty. Not relevant to a traffic stop!

  4. WHY does law enforcement even agree to discuss a trafic stop with anyone other than the sovcit driver, much less their sovcit coach 😊over 🎉the phone ?

  5. OMG he doesn’t know he needs a license 😬 why is she talking ? He acts like a 2 year old waiting for his mommy to talk for him … Grow up

  6. A mouthy woman trying to exert her impotent authority! The cops should have dragged that entitled loser out of his car and arrested him for non compliance!

  7. I just googled sovereign citizen…..are they for real? It sounds like they want everything the USA offers, without abiding by the same rules and way of behaving as 'normal' citizens..
Is that seriously what these people are about?????
