  1. It may be unwise to have a gun in your hand when opening the door to a cop. But do we want cops so trigger happy serving our community?? I don’t. So, not that clearly the victim’s fault here. We need better trained cops PERIOD. And less guns in the community.

  2. Coming to the door with a gun in your hand to greet the police is as brilliant as driving down the interstate during rush hour at 100/mph, eyes closed, hands off wheel. It’s never going to go well.

  3. I wonder how this woman feels about a man losing his life because she decided to call police about "words" heard? Does she feel responsible in any way for what happened? Just asking for a friend

  4. "Serve and protect" . So the question is: who do some police officers think do they serve and protect? The citizens or the police activitys? They think more than they have knowledge about the law.

  5. The police are always afraid of everything. They need to leave their guns alone. They can not be trusted to exercise any reasonable reaction to any event. So sad that they are trained to be afraid of everyone.

  6. I wouldn't want to be a police officer. Everything happens so quick, they get jumpy. It appears that there is a peep hole in the door. If he looked out and saw a police officer, he shouldn't have come to the door with a gun. But with the officer hiding around the corner after knocking, I would be suspicious wondering if it really is a sheriff.
