Bodycam footage shows the aftermath of a high-speed crash that killed a Maryland man on August 13. The Maryland Office of the Attorney General said officers were pursuing a shooting suspect when he lost control of his BMW and crashed into a civilian’s car. Thirty-one-year-old Dashawn Redding was charged with two counts of attempted murder, among other charges. The victim, who died two days later in the hospital, was identified as 44-year-old Rogelio Sánchez Gomez.

  1. This is Exactly Why a high chase pursuit should be “called off” when it becomes evident that the public is in high risk 🤦🏼‍♀️
    Edit: That’s why, this avoidable deadly crash, isn’t shown in its entirety…. The high speed chase prior to the crash isn’t available to us viewers

  2. Police need to be held accountable for engaging in pursuits in crowded/busy areas that end up killing innocent people. And no I'm not talking about tax payers having to foot the bill for a settlement to the family of the victim. I'm talking about criminal charges and penalties for cops involved in the decision to engage in a dangerous chase. They know how dangerous these high-speed chases are to innocent bystanders and still continue to engage in them.

  3. If you take a life evading going to jail then you should spend the rest of your life in jail . No deprived background , no sob stories, no "comes from a good family" , no "a model citizen up till this" , just jail and no parole.
