Bodycam footage from Hollywood police shows first responders rushing to Dr. Amie Harwick’s home after her roommate called 911 saying she was being attacked. Officers said Michael Herman was absolutely “disheveled” when they found him outside the house — an officer testified he had a white t-shirt on that was bloody near the abdomen. Harwick’s ex-boyfriend — Gareth Pursehouse — is on trial for her murder.

  1. Cops: “how are we supposed to gain entry into this place?
Roommate: “I Guess hope the fence with me”

He was trying so hard to get her help, and the ppl that are supposed to help are looking to him for help?
And he’s telling them what they need to do. I understand they need to be careful, but they do have training and guns for these situations.
Also…it’s not like it’s some crazy tall fence, the brick part of the fence is even angled in a way that makes it look very easy to jump over. They 100% could have done it quickly.
At least call for backup if you think he has something to do with it. I can’t imagine the feeling of helplessness and urgency he must have been feeling, all while trying to stay calm and make sense with an immense amount of adrenaline rushing through him.

  2. Sorry…but THAT "FRIEND".. didnr even care enough to head up there….u grab ANYTHING… he cant find his keys..OR his phone..hmmmm ..so he runs to a neighbor whike his "friend".is being MURDERED…..i have a friend who would LEAP up the staire if k WAS SCREAMING….u see "friend".thats a sign something BAD IS HAPPENING..,…same..as UVALDE…all the cops stood outside the door.while the bebes were being.MURDERED…. l do NOT feel sorry for that so called friend ..he just might have distracted that freak and she could have gotten away…….

  3. It’s really ridiculous the amount of comments saying: “how bad the roommate was treated.” All the police did was tell him to keep calm. The man had blood on his clothes, so he’s very fortunate that the police treated him so well and gave him the benefit of the doubt.

  4. Does anyone know why Amy's NEST cameras werent working in her house?
It seems like her bff installed them a few days prior and that there was an image captired at 6 ish pm on 15th but nothing after. Did GP tamper with the security?

  5. Yes, funny how people are bedraggled when they are in shock because they woke up at 1 am to the sound of one’s roommate being attacked. The police didn’t seem to understand this man was in shock and had been waiting for them fearing his friend was dead, after being dicked around by the dispatcher.
Pursehouse is guilty and should never be released.

  6. So Michael Herman says that he was her roommate and friend and everyone believes him. He seems shady to me, especially, since the state had to correct him when he said that heard her when she was being choked. I couldn’t make out his direct because of everyone talking at the same time so I might be wrong. But he still gave me bad vibes.

  7. The dispatcher failed this man and the vitcim. Kept interrupting him. The police also were dreadful but he did have no keys and kinda looked suspect to them but if the dispatcher listened to him initially she couldve relayed the info to them enroute. Very disappointing!

  8. When people are calm they're looked at with suspicion because they aren't giving a natural reaction that an innocent person would have. When people are in a rush to get help they're told to calm down. I don't get it.

  9. Police are well trained. Roommate was not helping anyone including 911 and Police by being hysterical though. 911 Operators and Police needed him to be somewhat calm under the circumstances, to be able to gather more information from him. Not that they are rude or uncaring at all. This is their training. Please 🙏 give these people the respect they all deserve. Roommate has been acting super nervous, odd on stand when questioned by attorneys. Even attorney asked him why he kept touching (scratching) his face? He constantly was sniffling, scratching his face and ansey like he has a drug habit? Plus night when he heard broken glass,he did not even open his bedroom door just went back to sleep. He later heard screaming but then could not even find his own phone? Roommate wasted a lot of time by not being able to find his phone and having to climb over gate to knock on two neighbors doors and when no one answered, he saw man walked on street so asked if he had a phone, to then call 911. Most people have their phones close 24/7. He just seems odd, wonder if he is even a credible witness? I understand stress, I lost my husband had to give him CPR and call 911 but it was too late.
