In a tragic incident captured on shocking bodycam footage, a Utah man was killed in a police shootout on June 6th after allegedly opening fire on officers. According to the Ogden Police Department, 36-year-old Brian Simonton began firing at law enforcement who responded to a 911 call from his ex-wife claiming he was violating a protective order against her. The intense exchange of gunfire left one officer wounded before Simonton was fatally shot by police.

Bizarre actions of police officers… standing in the open with no cover while a disturbed perp is walking around with a gun? Back up officer has no sense of urgency to move toward danger, and two officers not moving tactically covering each other. Not bringing a long gun to the scene? Officers moving into friendly cross fire.
