In this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: Bookstores are a place to get transported to another world, to escape the noise of everyday life and end up somewhere new. For one bookseller in Salt Lake City, Utah, however, the future chapters of her life were cut short when she was assaulted and killed in her own store.
Sherry Black and her husband Earl owned a bookstore called B&W Supply Billiards and Books. Sherry dealt with the books while Earl restored pool tables at their store right next to their home.
On November 30, 2010, Earl went to B&W and discovered his wife beaten and stabbed in the store. Little seemed to be out of place, except for an Armani belt. The killer left behind bloody fingerprints, but investigators couldn’t get a match on the prints.
Detectives cleared Earl and their family of suspicion.
Then, almost exactly a decade after Sherry’s violent killing, detectives in Salt Lake arrested 29-year-old Adam Durborow in October 2020. Investigators ultimately got a break in the case after sending DNA to Parabon Nanolabs, and scientists created a profile of what the suspect probably looked like. That’s how they got to Adam.
In October 2021, he pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Let’s look back at the case of a well-known local businesswoman whose family finally got justice for her murder a decade later.
😢🥺😭😥
Fool Ana Garcia is so annoying
100k book of mormon?
Joseph Smith was a crook and criminal and people that follow the “religion” arent even taught that.
You are saved by Grace not by works.
I cannot believe how accurate the generated mugshot was. Insanely impressive.
Elizabeth smart is a horrible interviewer. Monotone, no expression, no influxtion….nodding off on crime scene narration? She sucks!
What happened to this channel…yoh thumbnails are really boring sry
Curious about the comparison between the mugshot and the digital rendering. Also, what was the motive?
the narrator's voice is annoying
I’m not gonna lie- I love listening to Elizabeth tell these stories! Esp knowing her story ❤
That’s actually one of my fantasies – opening up a used book store in some obscure small town.
This EXACT type of case happens DAILY
323 knockoff Armani Exchange sticker on the belt. LEO said they were never able to confirm what that meant. Means they didn't do their job. Goodwill sticker? Perhaps. Irregular from A/X? Perhaps. The garment industry has thousands of labels. Second hand stores too.
Yow

How senseless 😢
Elizabeth smart interviews hit different ❤ this poor family I hope they find answers 🙏
After 26 years of law enforcement I have never seen so much violence. Even the 90s were not as bad.
You’re kidding!! A colored guy robbing and killing a white person. Hold it, this is White Privilege. How dare her family want to prosecute this poor black person. It’s his right to rob and kill white people. It’s part of the reparations they want.
He lived around the corner with his adoptive mother when he committed the crime. He also raped her.
His adoptive father was sent to prison for child porn when Adam was 10.
Looks like he was caught shoplifting several times after this horrible crime, nothing else. Senseless.
I like Elizabeth Smart but she has the most boring demeanor and monotone voice.. definitely not made for tv journalism… unpopular opinion. Don’t hate me lol
This is horrible. I hope they catch him.
Wow, Elizabeth Smart is hosting this program!! My oh my,.. Makes me stick to these stories more. May God bless you more Elizabeth! Your life is a gift to us all in this world!
