California Man Calls 911 and Threatens to ‘Hurt Someone’ with Knife Before Deadly Police Shooting

5. I live in California and it does not surprise me that this happened. We have so many people on drugs in our state and it is out of control. They are violent and crazy when drinking and on drugs.

6. He sounded like he was drunk to me. He also said that he had multiple weapons and was going to hurt someone. He wanted the cops to come so he could hurt them or have them hurt him.

7. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for shooting someone not armed with a gun.

   He also assaulted no one… So that's a false charge too.

35. Way to go dispatcher for deescalating and not enticing the suspect pushing his buttons that man responded accordingly to the dispatcher when he kept repeating to “just come”. Then the dispatcher said “OK, OK! They’re on their way.”
