Selfishness at its finest. I mean she lives in California where there are so many options for struggling parents. Tell any officer you feel homicidal toward your kid and they will take the kid. That’s it.
I strongly suspect the child was so adorable, that her killer was actually jealous of her and took her life to reclaim that attention she felt belonged to her.

Why are we seeing so many stories about parents killing their children and vice versa. We are supposed to be their protectors and they depend on us for even basic survival. I never understand why they don't just put the child up for adoption and let someone else give them their love. I just don't care how messed up the parent is at least they have a choice other than to kill an innocent baby. I have a little girl and regardless of how I might be feeling from day to day she comes first and I will give my life for her. That's how it should be. I made the choice to bring her into the world and as long as I am alive I will make sure she has the absolute best experience in life.

RIP sweet baby. Unfortunately, she'll tell some sob story to the parole board and could be out in about 16 years. This is California.
One way to possibly prevent this kind of thing from happening is to make it mandatory for hospitals to give free information to anyone pregnant or immediately after having a child current information on adoption and any other support available. Using hospitals is just one way of implementing the information, making it mandatory is a way of assuring it.

Why didn’t she just put her up for adoption or ask for help, left her at fire house anything but what she did!!!! Baby’s having babies. This it’s why it’s so important for moms and parents be honest about how hard it is to be a parent. Be honest don’t be going around telling people how wonderful and glorious it is instead of being honest. Being a percent is HARD the only easy part is when the kids sleep.
Stop killing the children. Stop abusing the children. I’ve literally had to step back lately from watching all these child tragedies. It’s so painful and devastating.
