Can a police officer handcuff a six year old child?

1. I mean "can" they. Apparently. Should they? Probably not. Exceptions if you're in a knife factory and the child is acting aggressive.

3. Unfortunately they can detain a child on school property if they’re a liaison officer especially. I’ve seen it. But generally it was for simple assault or public affray assuming they had a good lawyer. This case however, after having watched the video, the kid was nowhere near what I assumed he was going to be like.

27. All I’ve ever read as far as the laws were broken down by each state, they have different laws on arresting children below certain ages. 36. In this case the school system made bad judgements. Other options to remove the child without restraint should have been looked at such as getting a counselor,teacher,parent or other qualified individual to assist in removing this child from the environment. I did see the video and the actions certainly will cause great distress and anxiety for this young lady. As for the officer he also could have tried other options but elected not to…
