The suspect was charged after security footage shows him stealing the woman’s car with her kids inside. He later put the children on the side of the road, and a Good Samaritan carried the kids to safety.

  1. So what happened to dad? It was indicated in the video that he was trying to get the carjacker out of the car after being shot.

  2. Smart on that guys part for removing the kids. He knew if he had accidentally killed them or even just kidnapping them was a worse sentence. I actually have some respect for him for giving the kids respect even though he’s a criminal

  3. Why would he go down for kidnapping charges? He didn't kidnap those kids. They just happened to be in the car. His sole motive for taking the car was to escape the police. He took the car out of convenience. Probably a drug addict. I am just glad there is enough of his soul left in him that he got those kids out of the car. So scary for the parents

  4. Listen a couple years ago a couple car jackers killed a toddler instead of letting him go…so to this man I say Thank You…thank you for thinking of someone other then yourself & doing the right thing…in that moment. So glad that family is safe.

  5. Kidnapping wouldn't work because he was in the state of exigence he was in duress n it cannot be proven he definitely knew n intended to kidnap the children. However, he did the right thing by leaving the children outside although it was dangerous but still it shows he did not intend on kidnapping the children this is why in court it couldn't stick as state charges n any lawyer worth his or her salt can defend that charge simply because intent cannot be proven.

  6. They couldn't get him with kidnapping too? Someone who's stupid enough to get in a high speed chase the day after they escaped another one deserves to be in prison for the rest of their life, because it's clear a life of crime is all they know.

  7. Attempted carjacking? I would call that a carjacking plain and simple, kidnapping as well. Why does he deserve a slap on the wrist? Throw the book at him!
