Child Killer Susan Smith Lures ‘Sugar Daddies’ Ahead of Potential Prison Release – Everything Law and Order Blog

Susan Smith killed her two sons, a three-year-old and a 14-month-old, in 1994 by pushing her car into a lake while the boys were still strapped into their car seats. The South Carolina mom was sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of release after 30 years. As her first parole hearing approaches, Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber sits down with former prosecutor Matt Mangino to take a closer look at the heinous crime, Smith’s behavior behind bars, and what she had to say during steamy conversations with multiple suitors.

  1. Those poor, sweet baby boys do not get a second chance of life. Why should the one, who was meant to love and protect them, but killed them, get a second chance? She should have had two life terms with no parole.

  2. I will NEVER understand why "without the possibility of parole" couldn't have been stipulated in that heinous monster's sentence?

  3. The fact that they sentenced her with the ‘possibility of parole’ is not justice. She should never have a chance to be released… ever!

  4. The baby's father said he would be there to fight a parole. I'm sure they'll listen to him. And this freaking world now who knows. They better

  5. Do people quit saying she's beautiful. She is not and she was Not. I heard she had plastic surgery when she was in jail. Why would you think comment on her looks she murdered her own babies.

  6. No one gets parole their first time. As a Female Prisoner Volunteer, I've talked with some of these ladies have gone through parole decades.

  7. Donna James went to the window and saw what she at first believed to be a man in a long coat wearing a muffler or with his collar turned up and a plaid cap over his face. He looked at her and casually went back inside as if he'd forgotten something. Later she said this person had an “effeminate walk” and was “funny looking”. More than a decade later during Grand Jury Testimony when pressed by the Sheriff and asked if she could be certain it was a man that she saw, James answered she could not

  8. The jury members thought they convicted her and the life sentence was for life. They never knew she could get parole..

  9. She should stay locked up period . What she did was wrong completely kids don’t ask to be born to the parents they are born too ! 30 years ain’t nun compared to them babies being 6 ft under 🫵🏾
