20. Medical students have been allowed to do pelvic exams on patients under anesthesia without their consent in most states — with many doctors fighting legislation to change that. Federal guidance AGAINST this practice was only issued in April of THIS YEAR. This story isn't shocking when you consider these sorts of "norms" and "ethical guidelines."
