Correct,..you take your victims as you find them. In addition, I believe the officer was wrong for choosing to cite the Deacon unless there was film footage that showed conclusively him being in the wrong. As you can see the black car rolled past the “limit line”, allegedly against a red light and into the intersection in front of the white pick up truck. Most likely the driver of the car was rolling through the intersection, making a right hard turn, through a red light without stopping. While the driver turned his gaze to the left looking for oncoming traffic the accident occurred. Remember at a stop sign or a red light you must come to a complete stop and only proceed when it is safe to do so. Tell me now, who was at fault?

I know in Florida there is no harm in signing for a ticket. It states at the point of signature that – paraphrased “this is not an admission to guilt but only acknowledging the receipt of the ticket”.
I am ok with that.

The cops can not force you to sign a citation, especially if you disagree with the findings. This cop wanted a confrontation. It takes to this mam with such disrespect.
Once the cop determined the man is going to jail, signing the ticket becomes unnecessary. The judge would deal with that at his arraignment.
I dont think they can force someone to sign a citation, normally they sign saying they refused to sign.
