Police officers don't think about a single one of the things you mentioned here. Their thoughts are totally consumed with how they can exert power over others and maybe impress their buddies along the way with how much of a badass warrior they are against unarmed innocent civilians. These police have no belief in the after life, the parable of the rich farmer and poor Lazarus. But they know of the limits. Nite even if Irish Catholics there are requirements for a Confession to be valid. It includes the firm purpose of ammendment. Not just saying a few Hail Mary's and Our Fathers. The officer's must exit the occasion of sin, being an officer. Get some other occupation. In Christ's parable, the man of power is Condemned to the eternal flames of hell while Lazarus is taken to heaven. These officers only put off judgment, not eliminate it.
