I believe he did it on purpose. Probably tired of being forced to babysit his wife's granddaughter. The baby had no biological ties to him. He was 100% responsible and a liar. The court should have given 10 years in prison to him.
How is the cruise ship responsible. Child could not get to the open window until the grandfather left her up to it. I guess they don't have any open windows in their own home
He STUCK HIS HEAD OUT THE WINDOW!!! How can he stick to that story!? Video shows him looking out that window and then lifting the baby over and out of it!!!!
I don't think he should have gotten jail time. He wasn't her grandfather though. He's the boyfriend of grandmother. I do think he was negligent, as was the family, but they have to live with this horror for the rest of their lives. No matter what, nobody wins in this case.
The surveillance video leaves no doubt at all about the man’s criminal culpability. What he did was intentional. He should never be allowed out of jail. The criminal justice system has failed that poor baby girl..along with her family who were not looking after her.
Parents are attorney’s 🤔
If he is color blind then he should have thought all the windows were open cause he can’t see the green right ? So there’s that . Did he not feel a breeze did he not smell the difference ? If he dropped her and there was glass the baby would have still fallen . I want to know the fine print in the cruise contracts , I’m sure somewhere in there it says something about leaning out windows while the boat is moving . I wouldn’t even hold my cell phone near the window . Nobody let’s go of a baby and trust a window regardless . Also he said the baby slipped so again he dropped her in or out the window
The woman on the left is an idiot. I'm watching this show on tv, she is talking to a convicted murderer, on the phone, saying she feels sorry for her. The killer is lying out her butt, she is in prison because she planned out and murdered her parents, without any question. What a bunch of demented idiots.
It is NOT the cruise ship's fault.
How tragic. That’s so sad
Hmmm.
I think he done it on purpose. It's just too weird.
Sad story cops are always looking for more charges to gain their accolades and promotions i spose can't really blame them since its what they are taught. But also perhaps not leave your child alone in a potentially dangerous situation with someone past say 60 as after that they are most certainly declined to a point that an accident most likely will occur at some point. I mean personally if i felt like i couldn't judge anything normal i would not put my child in a situation that could potentially be harmful that's even at the age of 18-30 noneless an old man. But yeah the crime seems fit for regular negligence but what i don't get was he charged in peurto rico? because if not than how can his own state charge him? it didn't happen in his state therefore it has no jurisdiction as both party's harmed where not in that state. I wouldn't be able to live with myself after something like that.
Wow probation? So "salvadore" from "Louisiana" a Mexican
how tf do u slip and let ur baby granddaughter fall to her death from a cruise ship 🤦🏾♀️
I have no sympathy for the grandfather.
A civil lawsuit
RIDICULOUS.
That is horrifying that poor man…
Horrible thing to happen to this whole family 🛳
When you said colorblind I knew it had to be an eyesight problem. What are they going to do put him on probation and listen to how awful this man feels for the next several years?
Ridiculous! Our justice system is just so flawed when people like Casey Anthony & O. J. Simpson walk free!!
This was on the sea. Sea spray, salt, all of this would gather on that glass making it clear that there was a window.
Even if he thought there was a window, he drops her! That would've seriously hurt if not killed her
There's an "element" when look'n at a "crime" called COMMON SENSE.
casey anthony; a cold blooded baby killer (homicide 1st)
g-pa magoo; bumbling idiot (unfortunate accident)

By the way the story is worded I thought grandpa had done this intentionally.
I’m sure it was high up, the water was probably freezing, & maybe even the propellers might pull someone under, BUT- Am I crazy for thinking my first thought would be to somehow dive in the water after my child/grandchild & at least attempt a rescue?? 😕 idk.. Such a tragic situation..
He's a creep who knew the window was open. He's lucky he's not charged with murder. And he's not the grandfather.
You mean most grandads wouldn’t, morally ethically mentally stable people wouldn’t purposefully do it. Yes he’s color blind but he’s not fully blind.. I hope it was done on purpose! Regardless the cruise ship is not at fault and this family still at the end lost their baby, bless them and god rest her angelic soul
There is something wrong with the justice system when a grandfather is sentenced to 3 years probation for negligent homicide, but meanwhile you have sick individuals like Casey Anthony who had many many pieces of evidence pointing to her being negligent but yet she got nothing?! Idk just seems a little messed up to me….
