Cop in England doing twelve years for murder for killing a man with his tazer, he also kicked him so hard on the head while he was down that he left the track off his boot, his partner also got jail time even though she didn't touch the guy but she didn't help him either.
I'm old. Is a Taser dangerous? Assuming orders are heard which is IMHO a bad assumption, there must be a reasonable time to think. But what seems to be required is immediate, instantaneous, if not sooner compliance. Either that or find an excuse to hurt someone?
ALL cops are ignorant violent scum who live only to legally bully someone.
And this is sad. My interaction with college cops was so different. I was never arrested or charged or convicted of any crimes during this ( my) college experience but I do recollect the “ campus cops” as being restrained and low key professionals. Of course a different time and place 1964-1968, Univ. Of Mass at Amherst, Mass.
“Excessive force” is an understated characterization!
Texas is in the 5th Circuit
Keystone cops
short cops always have egos
Maybe they should send all the crazy cops to be campus police at law schools. Lol just kidding but I'm glad it influenced you into this field 😄
Its interesting the way cops always seem to create their own nemesis.
I attended A&M way back in the 70's. The cops in College Station were as brutal then as they are now. Most were stupid, country boys with a gun and badge. They were actually scary.
Tazers have killed many people just watch a cop take a kid into cardiac arrest causing brain damage
Do college security even have law liscences and can they lawfully make arrests
I lived in Texas for 4 years. Many of these people moving there from CA and else where may get a surprise. TX cops are tough, they don't care about rights. I had friend was at party he ran off with a vacuum. He was drunk, cop fired a shot above him to get him to stop. They play by there rules.
The common-sense rule applies here, what is the seriousness of the potential offence, what danger does the cyclist pose and what should be a sensible outcome. From the video viewed the use of force by the officers is disproportionate to any offence or sensible outcome, the motorcycle cop was just acting like he was out of control and on a power trip. The police should be sued and made to pay for reckless endangerment!
casey v heights ? what ?
that last one did not make sense and i can't even repeat it it was the out come of court case the last remarks
