Two Oklahoma women, Zara Hull and Kaylie Pitzer, were on a dream vacation with their boyfriends in Cancun when both became violently ill after they said they drank water from the hotel bar. Zara was hospitalized after she started having convulsions. Family back home in Oklahoma say they had to pay the Mexican hospital thousands of dollars just to treat Zara, then even more to have her released and flown back to the US. They lied because they had an alcoholic intake and now they have charges for defamation, damages and prejudice in Mexico, in addition to the hospital bill that they have not paid yet.
It’s not that they were drugged. I don’t drink tap water anywhere. Just buy bottled water. There’s no legal responsibility for the traveler’s diarrhea.
So they got those drinks from other American men theirs a video of them on Mexican news they never did they get them from the resort so i guess the girls lies about were they got the drinks. I wonder if the resort should sue them for a flase report. Just like Americans to blame mexico for their own actions. I am tried of the lies and fake news of the USA. i hope the Mexican government go after these girls and sue them because this is crazy that this lie is national news

well this makes me sad I would love to go to Cancun it looks beautiful with it's beaches, natural water parks, and Chichen Itza. But will this ever die down?

These girls almost caused two innocent waiters to spend a lifetime in prison with their lies Fortunately, there were security cameras in the hotel, which caught them exceeding normal levels of alcohol consumption. And they lie because they didn't want to pay the hospital bill

Why are only girls targeted?
Sounds like alcohol poisoning mixed with an anxiety attack.
Why wont they says which resort? Any other witnesses coming forward or were they the only ones at this restaurant to?
Even before getting the facts that the girls' story was debunked, the story had holes. However you guys were quick to spread this story and lean into stereotypes.

It’s tourist destination. How many people would pay their bill if allowed to just leave? I’d bet zero! There’s a reason why they ask for a $10k fee before admission and the bill to be paid before leaving. If it weren’t done this way everyone would just leave and never pay. The family is now refusing to talk to the media, name the resort or hospital. Also I don’t understand the pics of the girl intubated because in others she’s just in the hospital bed with no tubes or anything and she was released the day after she returned home. All this happened within 3 days. I’m more inclined to believe they drank too much in the sun or took some drug and are just telling their parents they were drugged from water.
Update: Zara and Kylie were trying to scam the hotel to avoid paying their expenses, and they almost got two innocent servers sent to jail. It is so unfortunate that the US media hasn't broadcast the update on this case with the same enthusiasm.
Release the name of the hotel and hospital! So it don’t happen to more people! This is disgraceful!😡

The FBI needs to get involved! This is insane! I feel like the hospital was in on it and they wanted to take her organs! Imagine a person that has no family with them or family to get a hold of! What would they do with them? How many people have just came up missing from those places it should be investigated.
