Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt were sentenced on Tuesday for their involvement in a child abuse case that prosecutor Eric Clarke described as the most horrific instance he has ever encountered in his career. Following the sentencing, Clarke spoke to the media, expressing his thoughts on the severity of the abuse suffered by Franke’s children. He drew a comparison between the children’s experiences and the conditions endured by victims in concentration camps, underscoring the extreme nature of the cruelty and neglect inflicted upon the young victims.

46 thoughts on “‘Concentration Camp’: Ruby Franke Prosecutor Details Horrific Abuse Faced by YouTube Mom’s Kids”
  1. I grew up with several Holocaust survivors in my community and lost extended family members in the holocaust before I was born. The treatment of these children is equally as heinous and a fair comparison to the sadism in a concentration camp.

  2. Jodi Hildenbrant is a far greater threat to society than Ruby. She used her therapist license to justify abusing other people's children.

  3. That TL word makes my skin crawl in anger because it's abusive and bullying will make the bad situation 100x worse from false therapist who treated the niece revealed in the interview has come to light.

  4. How do you describe someone putting children in a concentration camp setting and then proceed to give them only a 4 year sentence?

  5. I am a little confused on all the praise of the prosecutor. Yes, he is articulate and seems compassionate for RUBY, but what about the children who will have long lasting trauma from this? She was doing things harsh before Jodi…it was documented on her channel. This is just the stuff she allowed viewers to see. There were already several petitions to stop her. She had this in her BEFORE Jodi…and frankly, placing most the blame on Jodi during her statement shows she is NOT taking full responsibility.

  6. How is just 4 years acceptable?? She should have gotten 4 years per count at the minimum, not just 4 years in total. What made to the kids is horrific and justice needs to be made the right way, I would not let out Ruby until her youngest is an adult, as for Jodi she needs also to pay for what she has done to her niece and others involved.

  7. Ruby knew to kiss up to the people who had power over her. I can’t help but think that this is how she expected her children to act. Prosecutors, judges, & cops aren’t going to punish her in the way she needs to be punished. She’s got them wrapped around her finger.

  8. Kudos to Eric Clarke, not only for doing is job of being prosecutor. But giving us this detailed and cool headed description of what happened.

  9. Why does it not surprise me she is extremely religious … It's always the extreme religious ones that give religion a bad name.

  10. Wow, what poignant and sincere statements from this prosecutor. Thankful for him and anyone who has had direct contact with this case. I can't imagine seeing what they've seen.

  11. “Casting out devils” is the most terrifying statement of this interview. My mind immediately went to Lori Vallow & Chad Daybell. There is a thread of religious extremism that is running rampant in the LDS Church in the Utah area. It’s putting the lives of children at risk.

The LDS Church has a moral duty to take action. Not doing so is a sin of the greatest magnitude.

  12. What about the harsh punishments she did BEFORE Jodi? Taking away food from the kids when they were little when she napped? Getting mad that one of the kids got into the pineapple? Or not bringing eve lunch? Not waking up eve for pre school even though she was only 4? Taking Christmas away? Taking chads bedroom away. Sending him to a boot camp essentially? I mean the list goes onnnnnn. She was almost evil before Jodi. Jodi just made it worse

  13. Ruby Franke has not taken accountability based on what I have seen. One second she says that she now knows what was wrong and then blames everything on Jodie which is kind of takes away from her actually taking accountability. Same prison sentence for both of them.

  14. They both need to go to jail for maximum terms! This was going on a lot longer by both of them and Ruby was not coerced into anything.. she knew Jody had the same mindset as her!
