Do you buy the deputy's claim that he immediately smelled alcohol?
DETAILS/Police Report: https://thecivilrightslawyer.com/2024/07/17/cop-attacks-kid-in-his-driveway-only-5-seconds-after-saying-hello/
John, great job bleeping out those rapid-fire F-bombs…
The officer should write FICTION. He would be good at it … his reports are already fiction
i cant even tell wath i think here, youtube crap policy like to delete wath i sai…
Most cops don't behave this way. Most sharks don't kill people. Do you still want to swim with sharks or would you rather avoid them?
Breaking people's ribs over a traffic complaint.
So many of these cops think they are super smart detectives like Sherlock Holmes solving some crime. But really they are dumbasses.
3 shoes
This will be un popular I know but if I walked out my house and saw a policeman next to my car in the middle of the night I’d say “Hello officer can I help you?” and then answer his questions. This kid acted like the officer wasn’t even there and carried on putting things in his truck. And as for the officer didn’t identify himself the kid knew he was a policeman otherwise he wouldn’t have walked up, who walks up to a strange person with a flashlight standing next your car in the dark if you don’t know who they are? The kid was belligerent and dismissive from the start and I fully believe he was drunk.
Illeagal as soon as he stepped onto private property.
He had no right to just start searching a parked car
I dont blame that kid for cussing. 😂 cop WAS all those profanities
Love how a 10 years or so, nobody wanted to hear or listen to black peoples accounts. Now that these punks have to wear cameras, you're seeing how right we were.
A cop can illegally beat you down for no reason and if you try to defend yourself you get charged with obstruction or assault. How this charge isn't immediately dismissed upon seeing this footage is a disgrace.
If there was a report of a guy with a gun, that officer would have been nowhere to be found.
the victim did well at speaking down to this thug
100%. This man should not be an officer.. There’s no amount of training to correct his mentality.
These cops are insane psychopaths. Wheres the psychological exam for these people to be cops.
Do we have an update?
Going hands-on before identifying as a police officer seems "excessive" to the point of a 4th Amendment violation.
I don’t understand the cop continually grabbing him….. it looked like he only attempted to get in once. When that cop threw him down he wasn’t trying to get into the car. Kneeing him was pretty unnecessary also. If he “smelled alcohol” u would think he would have looking into that somehow. By at least giving him a breathalyzer….
The kid is totally lucid and coherent and the cop is raging stupid.
WTF? This is assault. Why is this pig thug still employed.
While Lucas had no obligation to, I think he could have been a little more cooperative at the beginning by just asking the officer if he could help him with anything. The officer should've immediately explained the situation and his concern in detail before physically touching Lucas. The problem is that bad cops roll around with the assumption that everyone is guilty and a criminal if they decide that they are. That cop should be fired, this should have been a friendly conversation and not an assault.
Is there anything law abiding citizens can do?
Meaning, what as citizens can do to stop these government terrorists?
Lucas has more common sense than the bully thug with a badge! no pray that he can sue, that is so wrong.
Let's say the kid was drunk. Shouldn't the cop have to tell him he's arresting him and read him his rights? And tell him why he's being arrested? And doesn't the person have to get into the car in order for it to be illegal drunk driving?
Too much ego plus too much perception equals 404
Horrible
This is a cornucopia of poor choices by the deputy. That was some fine creative report writing too. 😂
Never understand you cowboy didn't obey order from a cop…So Dumb…oO
How DOES a competent Lawyer NOT stay pissed off, all the time??? (When this stuff happens so often?)
Kid has more sense than the cop. I know that isnt saying much in today's day and age
Kid should thank his lucky stars he wasn’t black.
Communication before going hands on could've prevented all of this.
When you see nothing but crime all the time it's hard to not assume everyone is bad. Sometimes it's a result of being over stressed and losing faith in society. Trained to be on alert 24/7 puts a toll on the brain. I think the officer realized he f* up but kept going because he wanted others to perceive his actions were justifiable.
youre trying to get instructed and you smell like alcohol~
Cop was totally out of line
Just yesterday I walked to my local Gas Station and saw 3 cars Running and the Door slightly open, this is why I don't think Certain Police and certain People don't live in the real World and yet are from some kind of Parallel Universe.
Policing is one of the safest jobs in the country. Statistics don’t lie, cops do! The nations police by far are the most corrupt “ profession “ in the country. Hard to call any cop professional. In my 65 plus years I have yet to see any cop act professionally. They all have a chip on their shoulder, knowing intellectually they are at a big disadvantage to an educated adult.
Completely unnecessary.
The kid is 100% right! The cop is 100% wrong!
Why do you talk so much?
