  1. Don't support most officers but this cop was trying to be nice and granted he chose the hood but I wouldn't feel sorry if he used all 3 mags into this guy and I can't believe he only got 5 years, I figured atleast 25 years to life. Wow.

  2. I would say respect for that cop, yeah sure he made a mistake in the first place, but at least he didn't try to amend his mistake by making a second mistake and shooting that guy. They killed Takiya Young for less than that a year ago.

  3. The COP chasing was so stupid to pursue, it only made the person fleeing drive faster. 06:17, same stupid COP wrecks the car at taxpayer expense. The COP who broke his back has his coworker to blame in part.

  4. This IS an example of police training. They are trained that the have NO duty to retreat from a situation, that they MUST control every situation. This means even if in doing so thay put themselves in a dangerous position… Because they can never be wrong.
The training is win at all costs.
Yes… Things need to change. However, I commend this officer for not using deadly force… In a situation he created himself. I hope lessons were learned.
Also, the driver needs some more time behind bars.

  5. He thought he would try the “don’t defy an officer “ method but they wouldn’t take his bluff. Then if he jumps on the hood and they take off he could get away with shooting them if they started driving with him on the hood. But I guess he figured he would look pretty stupid shooting someone when he , himself, put himself in the danger he was in.
