  1. Property was unlawfully seized (aka stolen) then he was unlawfully arrested

    Fucking amazing.
Imagine you go to Walmart and buy a rifle then get arrested for buying a rifle 😂

  2. The arrest might've been lawful but it seems completely unnecessary. What was the point if the man was cooperative and surrendered his pet? It's a "I see misdemeanor, I arrest" attitude.

  3. The difficult thing about every police interaction is there are many of us that make an effort to be informed, but have difficulty recalling that information after a 12 hour shift, or after being with the kids all day, and especially when your mind is preoccupied by how you're gonna make your car payment, rent, loan payment, insurance, etc. So many of us are one bad month away from losing everything. And that company you're working 12 hour shifts for? They don't care about your dedication, they'll drop you in a heartbeat if it's profitable and being unemployed makes it harder to find a job. And now the police are talking to you.

  4. Many comments here are very dissapointing. One of the Officers could do with being less condescending, but two of them were respectful. The Officers were doing what they have been trained and instructed to do – they were enforcing local ordinances – State Law may trump a local ordinance, a matter for the lawyers – the Municipality should see this as a learning experience, that this Guy for highlighting a flaw and drop all charges whilst clarifying their position. Perhaps they should encourage the State Legislature to clarify there law and remove the "except dwarf Caiman" part to avoid any possibility of confusion.

I do not understand what you would want any Crocidillian as a pet – its not like you can play catch with them,as all are absoloute carnivores that will eat almost anything – even at the size it is, it is clearly dangerous or he would not have tapped the mouth up – I have seen the wound caused by colleague being bitten by a Caymen when Jungle training in Belize, it was about the same size (it was not a dwarf one just immature) and it required nearly 150 stitches, skin grafts and more than 15 months of rehab – people need to remember these are not cats!

  5. Before I watch the video. Dont bring your alligator, cow, or any other not dog or cat to a place. People get freaked out by chickens for God sakes. Laws In conflict would be more of +1-1 aka state law say do a to b and city says b to a they directly conflict….so if it says no A the city can say no A or B. They usually can be more. I think the dwarf camain would be allowed by the city ordinance. I’m a libertarian but I get how this shit works that’s why learned this shit. Honestly love in the country because the county is usually state law only no city or town municipality to go through make sure no HOA either

  6. 3 cops cars to handle this highly dangerous citizen & his pet which has its mouth taped so is no danger to them. And why not give him a citation instead of arresting him. He's made a reasonable mistake. Citizens should not be arrested for misdemeanors. Cops do it to make money for the town/city/state. Why else are cops taking citizens to prison for not having tag lights, for not signaling properly, for asking why they've been stopped, for videotaping cops, etc. Cops aren't concerned about citizen safely. It's about making money & avoiding real crime that may endanger cops. They all need retraining which should be much longer than the avg. 9 wks. They need to be educated in the Constitution and in the laws of the state & city they work for. But that's a pipe dream. Cops will never admit they are ever wrong.

  7. Confusions with State vs Local ordinances is something I have experience with. Although New York State does not prohibit raising backyard chickens, our local township does and I find it very difficult to get these changed.
