This one pissed me off. This is how plain clothes officers get shot or beaten up. If this guy was a Seal or Ranger, good chance both of them would be hurt or the vet being shot because they feared for their life. No body cams. This is total BS.
Now, the real story: Why were they looking for this guy? Feds involved in stolen liquor? Haha, I bet there was a book with a lot of information that got stolen. Something completely illegal and felonies where big people can get "hurt".
What happened to these police and this young man
Oops! We made a mistake so now you are a felon.
Crazy officers
That case from Michigan tells you why cops feel they can do what they want to who they wish because they know how much it would cost a person to take it to court, so when you hear of someone winning hundreds of dollars they still got to pay hospital cost pain and fear for the rest of your life. So imagine how many times you don't hear anything about . Craziness to think how your life means nothing that's why cops should not have immunity make them pay for their mistakes.
This shittt needs to be on the news everywhere and if he was black all he'll would break out why isn't this on the news this is now right I would be call every news station in every state to show this this is not right
There are some major violence issues with GRPD, they even back of the head shot killings
Just saying that lawyer seems legally smart, but not case smart, i.e. I’m sure he’s doing everything legally correct, but what he needs is a media savvy PR person who can put this case in front of the world and all the right people in government in Congress everywhere, and he’s not got that, so he’ll be doing this for another 10 years unless he gets that bit sorted out
@TheCivilRightsLawyer – Obscurantism…..Government is effective non-stop OBSCURANTISM
This was horrible!
Government is to big.
Indefensible.
Two laws that need to be changed:
1. States should pass laws that prevent any law enforcement officer in the employ of any city, or state entity are FORBIDDEN from being deputized by federal agents.
2. Any police officer sued that looses qualified immunity may NOT be indemnified by the city or state of their employ.
Federal GESTAPO.
Can we have an update on this case? I think it would be a great case to take to the Supreme Court.
They knew who he was.
What a currupt judicial system. Its all wrong them cpoos need jailed.
Law needs changed immediately. American judicial system is broke
Wow! We are living in a police state more and more every time I hear of these crazy cases of innocent people having their civil rights abused so egregiously!
The more I watch these sorts of civil rights stories, the more I believe that the real criminals are the cops. They seem to have a default setting of aggressive behavior that they escalate to the use of force and then try to hide behind their badge with misrepresentations and lies. The even worse part is the prosecutors join in to cover up the cops behavior, not for justice but for injustice. What a shame!
Did SCOTUS take the case?
So much for the myth of America being a free country because of its constitution
