DETAILS/RAW Footage: https://thecivilrightslawyer.com/2024/10/11/cops-called-about-a-white-suspect-then-arrest-deaf-black-man-with-cerebral-palsy/
In Phoenix, Arizona, cops were called by a Circle K gas station in reference to a white man they wanted trespassed from their store. When they arrived, the white man pointed across the street to a black man, claiming that the man was the actual culprit. Just taking his word for it, Phoenix officers Ben Harris and Kyle Sue violently attacked the black man. His name is Tyron McAlpin. He’s completely deaf and has cerebral palsy. Officers Harris and Sue took him to the ground, punched him in the head at least 10 times and tased him at least 4 times, all the while shouting commands that he was unable to comprehend.

You white racists liars are so disgusting!
Absolutely disgusting behavior. I can understand to a very minor extent that interacting with a deaf person can be difficult of the police don't know the "suspect" is deaf. But they full on attacked him without cause or excuse. They should never be allowed to be police again.
WTF!!!! he just comes out the car full attack mode out of nowhere and they have to charge him for it! And the reason they came there was for a white guy. Assault on a police officer when he came out and attacked the BLACK MAN not the WHITE MAN they came for. But not even that didn't even give the guy a half a second to defend himself verbally. These Criminal Cops need to be fired and put in jail. That was pure insanity to just go up and be Judge and Jury on a guy that was TOTALLY INNOCENT minding his own business. Nah!! none of this sounds like RACIST. Attack a totally INNOCENT DISABLED MAN. I truly feel sorry for the victim and I hope he gets them for everything they have.
I always try to be neutral or indifferent to police and policing, but when the exception exceeds the rule ?.. it’s difficult to not have an assured bias 😖🤷♂️
Omg. Can’t believe the girl friend is a white girl!! lol lol. Oh gosh. I miss but don’t miss city life.
Policing in America is like a really sick joke
That's because this pos has a small brain to match his small knuckles
THE WHITE NARRATIVE ALWAYS WINS ! ! !
This is awful. However, for once, I have the chance to add my voice to the calls for investigation. I wrote this to County Attorney Rachel Mitchell and sent it to the Interim Phoneix PD Chief, the governor's office, the Office of Civil Rights of the AZ Attorney General, and Fox 10 News Phoenix:
To Rachel Mitchell, Country Attorney of Maricopa County, Arizona,
I am a [person who has the right to contact the County Attorney]. As our county-level representative for law and order, I want to request your office conduct an immediate investigation, independent from any investigation the Phoenix Police may do of themselves, into the matter of body cam footage showing the brutal beatdown of a disabled man, Tyron McAlpin and the disrespect shown to his partner by Phoenix PD Officers Ben Harris and Kyle Sue along with other responding officers.
This investigation must be pursued with enthusiasm, a strong sense of urgency to find the truth, and extreme transparency with the public.
The (likely) resulting lawsuit will drain the county of resources we can ill afford to lose, not to mention the further loss of respect citizens will have for our state's law enforcement apparatus. Too often, we have seen legal tricks used to dodge accountability and responsibility while dismissing gross behavioral and educational lapses by some LEOs. We must be vigilant and fair.
The footage shows a shocking lack of critical thinking, empathy, de-escalation tactics, and knowledge of civil rights owed to people in the United States.
[Links to the body cam footage and blog are here]
Aside from the financial aspect, the human story of this man's abuse at the hands (and lips) of these officers is tragic. Throughout the footage, we see officers quickly jumping to violence, lying to frame the brutal physical beating in valorous terms, and denigrating victims and their relations (calling the partner to the victim a "ho," as one officer is heard saying).
Regardless of legal wordsmithing or hair-splitting, to me, we are witnessing nothing less than abuse by officers who all citizens are expected to respect and trust. How can we, as citizens, be expected to uphold our side of the deal if LEOs are not performing in a way that engenders trust or respect?
Indeed, the appearance is they are allowed to use their badges and qualified immunity as a shield to enable violent officers and their collaborators unfettered outlets for their worst tendencies. It shows a remarkable lack of respect for the institution of policing and the public to whom they pledge their service, as well as a significant breach of the social and ethical contract we owe to each other as human beings.
Finally, in this age, many resources can be used to inform and teach officers about civil liberties and nuances of the United States Constitution in ways that do not tax the budget. In particular, following short-form commentary provided by the Bill of Rights auditing community (such as the YouTube channel "Audit the Audit") and Civil Rights commentary from folks (such as John Bryan on the YouTube channel "The Civil Rights Lawyer") could prove to be valuable and inexpensive forms of informal education for officers. I recommend investigating the suitability of these resources to help prevent future… lapses from our LEOs.
Thank you for your attention:

Disgusting tyrants @ the Judge need be charged and jailed this is sickening
"Dude…there was a black dude walking right past us. Do you expect us to let him get away with that?"
John, this story is making me sick to my stomach. 🤢
How THE FUCK do you beat up a disabled person and laugh?!
So turns out not only do all black males look alike, but they also look like white males!
Devils
What happened to the white dude they actually got called for
Those two JACKBOOT THUGS need to spend the next 20 years in prison without the possibility of parole and their pensions should go to their VICTIM and if any OR all of the supervisors from Sargent to chief condoned their behavior they too should do time in prison and loose their pensions as well
How can cops roll up on someone and violently assault someone within 3 seconds and then claim he was assaulting them. The video I watched shows the officer running up to him swinging punches straight out the gate.
These are men of courage … NOT!
I've never heard a hand being broken from a bite, but I've definitely seen a hand broken from punching teeth or forehead repeatedly
The reaction of the officers show that they are social paths.
This makes me sick to my stomach. wtf
When will this stop…they both should be fired charged an sent to prison for no less than 30 yrs…cause if they can do this to someone disabled think of what else they can do
Context, the real suspect pointed to the black man as they arrived. This edit makes you look bad, when the situation doesn't call for creating a fake narrative.
You setup the video, get people mad. Then go to commercial? Bruh, they attacked the dude and beat the crap out of him. The white suspect told the police the black guy attacked him first. It's all in video, show the entire video !!
Cops are scum for doing this, you look like a pos for this fake narrative edit.
In my opinion the residents should hold the police department accountable. Just like in the old days.
Don't forget: Police are heros!*
*Obviously objectively definitely not sarcasm…
Is Phoenix pd the worst in the states?
what a set of effing SCUMBAGS
Wondering if modern cop training in the US is intentionally designed to eliminate “lesser” people in our society. 🤨
The mother or he himself, along with The Innocence Project, A Civil Rights Lawyer and an ADA Attorney need to sue that Arizona Police Department for violations of civil rights.
America is a Gestapo disguised as a Democracy 😮
SOCIOPATHS. MMPI extremely accurate psychiatric diagnostic tool could not differentiate police from convicted rapists. Uncontrollable compulsions to dominate others. Easily triggered.
The guy at the Circle K said his assailant told him to get back in the store, so the cops jump on a person who cannot speak. Even without the aggravated assault on a vulnerable adult, that's just bad investigatory work. They're bad cops, bad men and bad people. They obviously have no fear of legal consequences.
Mistakes happen, maybe the cop was just playing the odds that usually it is a black criminal, but whites commit crimes too, just not in anywhere the same amount of numbers
Here we go again, John……another sickening display of police ineptitude, cruelty, unprofessional behavior, violent action and desire to "nail" a person for no reason. It's sooooo disappointing!!
Why in hell doesn’t the damn feds start arresting these criminal cops?
This is bs
The White gaze never ceases to amaze me 😢
Hee dint do nufins
How on Earth did these police officers even know if this was the person they were looking for, if they pull-up on someone, jump out, and immediately attack? I’ve only ever known street gangs to perform these kind of “jumps” on people. This is ludicrous? They had no idea who they were stopping, or even why! Absolutely insane. When cops know they’re this far in the wrong; they have to press charges to try to save their own asses. They beat down an innocent black man. They have to hope he gets stuck with some kind of charge, so he can’t sue these officers. This was hard to watch, and truly astounding. I would expect officers to be able to do this to people in Russia, China, The Middle East. But, this is America. How does this happen? I pray this young man receives compensation for everything he has had to endure, and I also pray this despicable street gang is stripped of their jobs, and put behind bars where they belong. This is so wrong!
they do a better job documenting themselves than actual crimes.
Crazy thing. Where is the white guy who said he was assaulted
There are no words !!!
Hold up … she was on the phone with a deaf man? FaceTime surely….?
