Cops Tase and Arrest Guy Sleeping in Truck | No Reasonable Suspicion – Everything Law and Order Blog

Police officers have a hard time understanding that reasonable suspicion to justify detaining a citizen is supposed to be based on suspicion of a crime, rather than a hunch or ego of the officer. How many police videos we see were completely unnecessary and achieved nothing, other than bad publicity, lawsuits and constitutional violations?

Devin Thomas was asleep in his truck on Christmas night in a Home Depot parking lot in Delaware. He was waiting for the store to open because he needed to buy products they sell for his business. He was traveling for work, which takes place on the highways, hence the fact that he was sleeping in his truck. He awoke to a flashlight in his face and somebody trying to talk to him.

  1. I'm getting close to breaking 100k subscribers. I'm not asking you to subscribe if you haven't, but please subscribe if you haven't, and help me get there. 🙂

  2. Typical arrogant psychopath, blaming the victim. Cop was just butthurt because the guy didn't bow down immediately to his self anointed authority.

  3. Boy the cop needs to learn how to keep his intercom away from his radio, how could anyone hear his “lawful” orders if it's nothing but the screeching of feedback because he doesn't know how to use his basic tools!

  4. Wow, that escalated quickly (due to the cops). As a former employee of Home Depot, I guarantee they don't care if a customer is napping in their parking lot waiting for them to open.

  5. I hope he sued the fuk out of the cops! Defund the 10 cops that it took for nothing that late at night……………………….

  6. I'm so glad that you do this type of work. I've learned so much since I've started watching your program and others as well thank you so much. I spent 18 months incarcerated and bled for 14 months they let me bleed . But enough of that thank you your much appreciated

  7. I'VE WAITED AT A LOWE'S BEFORE AND ONE ROLLED UP ON ME. HE ASKED WHAT I WAS DOING I TOLD HIM I WAS WAITING TO GET A LOAD OF LUMBER WHEN THEY OPENED HE TRIED TO PULL SOME OF THIS BULLSHIT ON ME AND WHEN HIS BACK UP SHOWED UP. THEY TALKED AND THEY REALIZED THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO ROB THE PLACE SINCE I WAS DRIVING A DUMP TRUCK AND HAD A SKID LOADER IN THE BACK OF IT AND I WAS PULLING A FLAT BED TRAILER.

  8. His is not the only vehicle in they PRIVATE PROPERTY parking lot. The cops had no business being there. I used to work rotating shifts and when I got off the graveyards I often parked at businesses waiting for them to open. What a dickhead!!!!

  9. Wow.. 6mins to stupid. Fire them ALL.. charge them all financially. I’m tired of paying for these arrogant out of control narcissistic megalomaniacs getting a free ride under qualified immunity. So arrogant with the “I’m not done talking” bs.. making up laws.. then blaming the innocent guy for their idiocy!!

  10. Never the less, Bye looking at him he would not have gotten that far on foot. I'm not making fun of him it's just a fact.

  11. Blood in his uniform he’s going to charge him .This man has it hard enough. This cop is a moron he can’t even use his speaker

  12. Wow… I can’t believe I didn’t hear about this when it happened, despite being a Delawarean, I guess they told local news to not run that story? So glad my only DSP encounter is as follows, because DSP is operated by and filled with crooks, as well as the courts.

My first and only encounter was for speeding, which is fair… I guess. I was doing 15 over (50mph limit) on a straight backroad in the middle of a field in the middle of the day during non-rush hours, it was as empty as the backroads roads get during the day. Insurance card was out of date by a month, still paid for, and I hadn’t received the new cards yet.

Unmarked (Chevy Tahoe) trooper approached a 4-way stop up ahead and just sat and waited, having nothing better to do, he pulled me over after I turned right at said intersection. Trooper ticketed me for going 21 over, and for “having no insurance”. Purposefully set the court date ON my birthday which was over month away from the date of being ticketed.

Unfortunately, with no dashcam-no way to prove my “innocence”, or at least that the trooper lied about my speed, I simply had to pay the fines. Which as far as I’m concerned, it’s not a law if it only applies to the poor- the ones the fines are for, monetary punishment only affects those with little money. They literally stole a half weeks worth of pay from me because my (not fancy) car went vroom on an empty road, not a reckless vroom either.

And my friends wonder why I flee when I see cops/DSP now. I see a state trooper and I GTFO. I literally do not stick around. I’ll take any street I can to get away and out of sight, assuming they’re not already initiating a stop. They’re tyrants, they’re not here to protect or help us… just to harass and discriminate against us. All so their ego can be inflated a little more.

Ive dedicated myself to the art of avoidance… I installed radar detectors, laser jammers, and Stage 1 upgrades to my car, hopefully Stage 2 eventually. I’ll pull over for em, if they can find me first. Until then, any time I see 12, im gone. Where? Idk… probably off a side street or down a road into the forest.

  13. Wow. He also said he got blood on his uniform so he was charging him with criminal mischief. How is it criminal mischief when 6+ cops rip a man out of his truck to the ground, bloodying his face & 'accidentally' tasing him? He didn't exactly have a free hand to intentionally wipe blood on his uniform. Would that have stood if this was a legit arrest?

  14. Scary. I had a fuel pump go out and was lucky enough to break down in front of a NAPA at 3am had to sleep out front for a few hours I never knew my freedom or life could have been in jeopardy.

  15. Lemme tell you something, Mr. Thomas ain’t doing No B and E🥹‼️ I hope you get Every Cent you deserve. To All the Tyrants I hope All of you are Unemployed ‼️

  16. What's crazy is it's home depot's policy to allow people to sleep overnight in their parking lots. Shit is fucking ridiculous Delaware and Maryland cops are trash

  17. Do you utilize Black's Law? Especially the 4th Edition. That's the most Comprehensive version. Look at the definition of "Federal." In the definition it states, "The United States is generally styled, in American political and judicial writings….." Then you look at both 28 U.S. Code § 3002[15](a) and UCC 9-307[H], you'll notice that the United States is a Federal Corporation located in the District of Columbia.
