  1. There's a lot of ignorance here, on both sides. Sure, the law says I can ride on most roadways, with some pretty clear restrictions. But, it takes a good deal of ignorance to ride down a 4 lane street, in city traffic. About the only time I might do so, is in a parade, or a genuine emergency. On another occasion, Dreadhead was arrested for riding in rush hour traffic on the Dan Ryan Expressway, clearly a controlled access highway. So, yeah, cops are showing some ignorance here, but Dreadhead Cowboy eventually gets his comeuppance. He is not a man to hold out as any example, IMO. Now, what I'd like to see addressed, is why do cops always park in the middle of the street, blocking one or more lanes of traffic? THEN, they want to blame motorists when an officer or his car is struck. Bad cops, BAD!
