Idk what's more disturbing the crimes or the fact he only got 10 years. I got arrested for "unlawfully carrying a weapon" which was a decorative piece I use to have on my chimney when they found it it was in its box with the stand & the sharp edges were covered. They gave me a year even tho I had no priors clean record worst law I've broken up 2 that point was driving w/o a seat belt when I was 17 I was 25 at the time

Anyone in a position of authority who is found to be in gross derilect of their duties should face an enhancement of the penalties strictly because of the disgusting abuse of power. Ya know–great power, great responsibility and all that jazz
Why was a private citizen asking for arrest warrants? Isn't that the policy's job? Was the protector not filing charges? How could the prosecutor decline to prosecute only a day after the attack?
He is NOT gonna have a good time in jail. I imagine he did some shady shit while putting some of that he will be living with for 5 years

I went through the ,almost, same thing in Tennessee 2017. All dismissed. The judge and his cop buddies, all went to prison. Sad. So sad.
they did all this because a woman turned down sexual advances so imagine what they do to black people and other minorities

I would’ve got life without possibility of parole for all that… in fact I got 6 years for one of those charges already
that man was really out there giving the word “reckless” a fucking brand new definition. i’m happy he got convicted, was made to serve his 5yr sentence (although, i felt it should have been longer but hey, in cases like these, you take what you can get), and had 3 years of probation on top of that after he gets out. it’s, honestly, the minimum of what he deserves but it’s still incredible, nonetheless. in most cases like these there are rarely consequences. especially if the man has a level of power, is working with the law, and/or floats in the circles of others that are involved with the law. if that was the case and he gets convicted, it’ll, most likely, be of lesser charges and he’ll get a slap on the wrist, if even that, and walks free. and if that was the case, he DOESN’T get convicted and the case gets thrown out or he’s acquitted, the outcome would be the same, minus the slap on the wrist, of course. it’s sad and frustrating. idk if that made sense but hey, in this circumstance, justice was served

Same thing happened with me and the prosecutor in my town and they busted me for 10 months instead of none due to the fact that I turned him down and I wasn’t a cheater. He told me yeah you won’t get probation and next thing you know I get probation because I refused his number and declined his advances.
