Media/law enforcement has aggressively come after the church (sexual abuse/scandals); university professors (tenure); doctors (sexual abuse/scandals); school teachers (sexual abuse/scandals); – but we never get any traction with police officers having to answer for their crimes. It is a known fact that predators will work in a field that they have access to those that they bully and/or abuse. It appears most of the scrutiny has been on everything else as listed above (church, education, doctors, etc.) – but it is time that police corruption and abuse of power is thoroughly investigated and prosecuted as all others. A number of these LEOs have no business being LEOs and are pathological bullies with psychological issues, and some have criminal records and should never have been certified as LEOs in the first place. And then when "something happens" they just go to work for another LEO agency. And we pay the price BIG time for this awful system.

    withholding favorable actions is LITERALLY one of the things that probationary periods are for.

17. In every case where I've complained against a law enforcement officer he is bestowed with some kind of award within a month. Pretty sure it's SOP with intent to publicly counter your issues with them. "Oh well he's officer of the month. Those accusations must be false"!

22. That should make a great headline in their town, Employee of the Month is charged with aggravated assault and violating her oath of office BEFORE she was given that award. Dashcams and bodycams are revealing how many in LE are rageaholics and abuse those in custody they are sworn to protect. They have NO intention of enforcing the laws, just stroking their own egos as they brutalize the public.
