This Week on True Crime News The Podcast: A nature hike on Oahu’s Pali Puka Trail allegedly took a near-fatal turn when prominent doctor Gerhardt Konig attempted to push his wife, Arielle Konig, off a cliff. According to police, when the mother of two didn’t fall to her death, he attempted to use a syringe to inject her with something before bashing her with a rock. Miraculously, she survived, and police apprehended the doctor after an hours-long search.

I'm surprised she didn't mention a paralytic which I believe most don't stay in your bloodstream for very long maybe he meant to try to give her one of those and have her walk and then fall so it looks more like an accident
I have come to learn that highly educated does not mean the person has common sense!
Murder has nothing to do with intelligence or reason. It happens when people have something to lose like money or staus or relationships, etc. .in fact, the more they have to lose, the more they'll try to keep from losing it… even committing murder. Sometimes jealousy can push people over the edge, even being jealous of an ex spouse by not wanting him/her to have another relationship. So people shouldn't be shocked if someone with a high degree of intelligence and/or a high paying job commits murder since they have the most to lose. They can also be narcissitic enough to think they're intelligent enough to get away with it.

The commentary is agonizingly long and dragged out so much time between each word. Either have more material that you can say quickly or cut back on the amount of time that you were sitting there saying nothing but dead silence, and repeating each others words. I couldn’t take it after less than 15 minutes.

I do have a question tho. Why haven't I seen anything about Mike Wolfe anywhere? Not on this channel or any of the other channels I watch regularly. The fact that he got life in prison, dumbfounds me. Especially since there's been murders who have been sentenced to less.

What a wild case! So grateful she was able to live through this harrowing ordeal. Her guardian angels came along and spooked her husband. Thank goodness
he didn't get mad cuz she didn't wanna take a selfie, he got mad cuz she didn't wanna get close to the edge of the cliff to take the selfie, DUH
How could he plan the trip without any plans to kill her, when he had a syringe of drugs with him?
God saved this woman's life. Period.
"Would be" husband killer Would have made up a story like these:
I wanted to make her birthday memorable; she wished to visit the most beautiful Paradise Mountains.
She decided to take some pictures. She tripped and fell off the cliff while I was taking her pictures.
Or
We got into an argument; she tripped and fell off the cliff.
Or
We got into an argument; she threatened to end her life and jump off the cliff.
Or
We got into an argument, then she walked away.
History keeps repeating itself.

That’s a super crazy case! So glad she survived but gosh that’s life long trauma! That fake evil husband will be going to prison! No chance he is getting out of that! Justice for her Anna!

Im guessing he wanted to take a selfie by the ledge of the cliff to make it look like she slipped. And when she said no he got pissed. And most of the time when a partner accuses the other is because they did it themselves.

There is no mystery with this and it's certainly not the first time this has happened. There is no reason to be perplexed. It is exactly what it looks like. The only difference is that this victim was lucky enough to survive. I don't know how you could even suggest the possibility it was a spur of the moment thing when he came armed with syringes clearly showing premeditation.
