Don’t Send Pictures of Yourself to Scammers! – Everything Law and Order Blog

The sextortion scam is the grossest and cruelest scam out there. Scammers pose as girls and ask you to send revealing pictures that they end up blackmailing you with.

If you’re a victim of this scam and afraid of the fallout, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255.

  1. I was scammed by extortion years ago. Unfortunately I sent about 900 bucks so luckily it wasn’t a life changing amount of money. Also the scammer stopped harassing me after I paid it off. I did research and found out the situation and had scammers try to do it to me 2 more times but got my revenge by messing with them. The biggest clue you can have is when they don’t actually go to the police in regards to the alleged “pedophile” that u are. Parents that love their children won’t ask u for money omin exchange of not calling the cops. They will tell u ridiculous stories.

  2. I'm South Korean and this scam happened to me yesterday. The scammer knows my friends and family's phone number because he hacked my phone, but he didn't send the video although I didn't give him any money. I hope that he'll forget to send the video. Or should I call the police before it's too late?

  3. This happened to me before sadly I was super young and didn’t know what I was doing

They threaten to release it to everybody, but luckily, I blocked him before they got to my followers

Every once in a while the same scam comes around but this time I make a fool out of them and troll them

  4. If someone asks for nudes, use my line: You can one see that in person. If they keep pushing you for pics you don't want to send, they're either complete jerks or have no intention of ever really meeting you or both. If they are for real and not a complete jerk, then it builds tension. Either way, you won't have nudes floating around. God help us with AI nudes coming but they're disprovable.

  5. Why would you ever send your naked pics and videos to strangers on the Internet like anyone normal does that? Plus also these days I don't think it's an effective scam since there is AI and also many apps where you can copy someone's face on top and finally let's not forget PhotoShop.

  6. its not that bad, the first few days will feel daunting, just block them report it to the police, and thats that. the scammer shared my pics through an automated bot gc on ig with all my followers in it. idc and nobody did and my friends even supported me, please dont kill yourself its not the end of the world 🙂

  7. I can't believe how honest could someone be, an Angel in human form. You knew how desperate and eager i was, even willing to pay any amount just to get rid of the sextortion black mailing. But yet you proved how honest you could be. I appreciate you Nckmythss1 You have done well. You kept your promises and it was all erased

  8. I never believed i could witness blackmailing after i entrusted my life with someone i met online, the experience was awful all thanks to Nckmythss1 who helped me out of the pretence i called the love of my life

  9. As a girl that fell for this recently, I never sent my money to the scammer. I blocked and restrict them. Needless to say they took down their account and they never harassed me or anyone I knew.

  10. This happened to me. Then she or whatever the f*** that was told me it's gonna send that pic of my dick to everyone and I was like "no problem let the whole world see my anaconda". And nothing happened. But I was really OK with that, who cares about people, people are dumb, nasty, primitive and spread envy.

  11. Yeah I had a random scammer text my phone only one in like the past 10 years to don't know how he got my number but he tried saying I was messing around with 1 of his girls meaning a prostitute and I just kept laughing I was like I haven't even message my friends in like 3 days what are you talking about And he kept trying to get me to give him 5 grand for making an appointment and then standing them up or something and it went from girls to men to a transsexual prostitute like it was supposed to be more embarrassing some how i just said if you know my address and families tell me and ill pay you the 5k lol he never did he kept saying you think this is a game we are on our way lol id say yes it is a game and im having fun watching you try soo hard for a payday just tell me my address or better yet whats my name whats my siblings names? Ill pay you 1k for everyone you get right lol and sure enough i get more threats so i just called the cops and reported it the stupid operator wouldnt semd anybody out unless i said i felt lile my life was in danger -_- but the cops were extremely happy i did male a report gave them screenshots and the number so if it happens to anybody else they can do something as they do care scams atleast in the town were i live as the actually cops took it way more serious then i was or thinking they would

  12. Dont send videos pictures are fine just dont include your face or anything that can identify your room lol even if it could i wouldnt care its easy enough to pre empt it and make a post or send friends messages saying someone is trying to scam me for money saying they have some picture of me which isnt true so just ignore them

  13. i fell for this, i'll admit it. i didn't send them money, they only sent the pic to two people i know of, one of which i haven't seen or talked to in over 4 years. best advice i can give is block them in everything. odds are they will go away for good if you do that.

  14. I live in Mississippi. In the Starkville area a 16 year old boy named Walker Montgomery fell victim to one of these scams. He shot himself in the head. These people are heartless monsters. And we as a community should do everything we can to stop them.

  15. This is very scary and it's happened to me before. I have been in a state of committing suicide I can't imagine how hard it would be to decide to take a re-coveryagent role of an scammed persons through blackmail. The history needs to be remembered though and the help that was born through such pain and suffering. Mad respect to these DAARTECH that take on these role to help traumatized victims all over the world. And also helps recover lost funds.
