Bergmann has been charged with one count of first-degree child sexual assault after the boy’s parents found alarming text messages between the teacher and the 11-year-old. Why is a teacher being invited on a ski trip. Boundaries just should not be crossed. But it wasn’t weird for the parents to mix business and pleasure so I believe they opened the door to their child being victimized. I know adults go drinking or in trips with coworkers and even that is inappropriate but we don’t see it that way because it’s so common.
