The fact that it never even occurs to them as they are doing these things "What the hell am I doing? Why am I doing this to people? Am I the one in the wrong?" speaks to the fact that these cops are literally just evil to their core.

I usually agree with what you say, but here you're working with hindsight, knowing that there's only 2 people inside, and that they are, in fact, the residence of the property. Invading a home randomly because of "suspicion" is wrong, but this wasn't random. As for the force, I'd say it'd a bit much but not, in my opinion, excessive here. Though I do believe there was better options of use of force
