But it’s her MOM- and the “codefendent” is a CHILD. Childrens’ number one fear is rejection by their parent, and the most important parent or most relavent parent for role modeling is the same-sex parent.
Also, just like women in the US, prior to 1974, kids are all too aware they are completely dependent on their parents, for money, for a roof over their heads, and for food, clothing, etc. If that’s not a power differential, in terms of both social-emotionally, and basic survival-wise. What else even is there? What chance did the kid have, for a better outcome than crime, when her own mother, the person supposed to protect you from trouble, instead completely betrayed her dependent minor child

This was hard to watch.. The stories today were both interesting but sad, however, the hardest part was listening to this snooty, arrogant & nasty, woman!
