Dr. Edsel Sandoval, 36, faces 20 sex crimes charges related to allegations he used his job to sexually abuse female patients. Sandoval was a doctor at Yuma Regional Medical Center until the first allegation surfaced in July 2023. More women came forward earlier this year with stories that Sandoval touched them inappropriately and sexually assaulted them. Sandoval has pleaded not guilty. Awful someone you trust to help gives in to temptation pervert you shouldn't have a thought like that in your mind when being a not a woman but but it's just as weird for us having someone touching examining your private area really uncomfortable situation but in your mind you have that unspoken trust know they helping and not being a perv , my first time have a prostate exam was probably one of the most weird uncomfortable things I went through the doctor was cool about it I told him I know your being perv doc but I gotta say that really weird is that first time you had that exam I said yeah hopefully it will the last the second time was a woman doctor she cool about it both doctors were explaining telling me what there doing and why they need to do that strangely it wasn't as weird with the women doctor for me violate that doctor patient trust doing stuff like that especially women I think guys examine are little more invasive depending what there checking , doctor do there best to help us doctor like him makes these women way more hesitant to see a doctor for those female only problems sick perv he needs be thrown in jail and never aloud near hospital as doctor again

It should be a law that a female (nurse, PA, etc) be in the room when a male doctor is touching a female patient. It's a law in the country that I live in and it's for the safety of the patient (because of cases like this) but also protects the doctor against potential false accusations or misunderstandings. The OBGYN I go to has 11 obgyns and only 1 is female. All of the males always have a female nurse who works with them and stands in the room when exams or ultrasounds are done .
Nepotism is very common in Mexico, back in the day you could buy your professional license or degree without even studying or passion the exams as long and you had the money.
I am pretty sure nothing has changed.

I recalled a male Gynecologist made me feel incredibly uncomfortable the first visit and I switched to a different doctor. Not victim blaming but why would you return to the abuser to get abused again ? How old are these alleged victims ?
