Where is common sense? The cop could have saved the tax payers a lot of money. (Do you know what an emergency room visit costs?) He could have simply reminded Ms Hummel that signing a ticket is not an admission of guilt. It simply indicated that she received the ticket. Not that she necessarily agrees with it. Instead, the cop wanted to have a confrontation with a nice older lady who just wanted to get home and bake an apple pie. (If you ask me) The cop was over zealous and would have used a cannon on her if he had one in his pocket. Idiot cop!!!
C- is crazy for the cop. He handled that perfectly fine. Cuz someone is old is not an excuse to do whatever you want.

A lot of the cops problem when they escalated situations is they donāt talk to the citizen. If he had told her that the signing of the ticket wasnāt an admission of guilt and she could argue her case in court but no he just yells at to sign it and then when she wouldnāt he tells her she is being arrested.

Had the creep explained she had to sign the citation, it would have ended. Had he allowed her to sign it when she finally asked to, this all would have been avoided. The coward cop chose to want to arrest her and escalate this so he gad the opportunity to have to taze a Grandma. His job is to keep the peace.
