Federal Judge Blows Whistle on Lying Cops – Everything Law and Order Blog

Reuters reported a few days ago on a recent set of court orders from a federal judge in West Virginia finding a troubling pattern of illegal search warrants obtained by drug task force officers.

Unbelievably, instead of prosecuting perjury, the prosecutors begged the Court to reconsider disclosing the lies and thus ruining a cop’s career for lying under oath to a judge.

I’ve compiled the orders with all of the officers and their lies, for all to see, at the link, including the one I handled, which resulted in a financial settlement.

  1. These people uphold themselves as the "white hats" and lie, cheat and steal. Look at the role models for children. They observe that these behaviors are rewarded while people of integrity struggle for the most part.
It sure looks like positions that are lifted up with respect and financial abundance are riddled by corruption and sheer incompetence.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Drug dealer? Gang Member? Policeman? Politician?

  2. Mr. and Most Honorable Bryan,
They are taught to lie in the academies and told they can lie to anyone. They do this so often and so long that they figure they can lie to a sitting Judge and get away with it. Most of the time they succeed. The sad thing is that this behavior is condoned and encouraged by their superiors (chiefs, captains, lieutenants and sergeants) and protected by the unions. Therefore there is NO accountability or repercussions for their actions…abolish qualified immunity for all law enforcement officers and hold the upper echelon command accountable.

  3. But they put me on probation for drugs and alcohol but I don't drink I was never arrested for drinking or drugs and I got to pay $32 every time I go pee in a cup and I haven't drank in over 20 years and I've never done drugs

  4. How about a cop coming to your house and not announcing his self and you open the door and he says I got a search warrant for you let me see the search warrant any shows me a computer that has a bench warrant on it and arrest me in my home and do not read me my rights or anything and I've been going to court over it for the last year and a half

  5. Years ago I had ( Ven Fisher , tribal drug officer ) tried to get me through a second person to get me to sell them my prescription meds , then we talked about me buying someone else's prescription , when that feel through I scored them two fifty sacks of marijuana , ( they used no warrant) they had teenagers come into my house and tried to get me to do something ,.. didn't fall for it , made me homeless for over a year in missoula montana , people kept asking me , man I know it's not my business , but your Indian , you shouldn't be homeless , a lot of them were upset , tribes run by chomos , cops , judges , prosecutors , defenders , and tribal council ,… I hate child molesters ,… Thirty years of dogma , I'm back in housing facing driving while suspended under state law on a federal reservation ,.. chomos are petty people

  6. I was in court over fifty years ago when the case before me was a man charged with a traffic accident. He had five independent witnesses who saw the accident from the sidewalk and testified on his behalf. The judge told him he was siding with the officer because the police and the courts had to work together or not at all. I don't think that has changed in most area's.

  7. Officers and judges need to be held to a higher standard of honesty, credibility, and integrity. considering the vast powers they wield. As for qualified immunity, it should not exist to protect dishonesty.
