Bodycam footage shows a Florida deputy being arrested for allegedly street racing to impress his girlfriend riding on the back of his motorcycle on August 30. A St. Cloud police officer allegedly spotted Brian Espinal, an Orange County Sheriff’s deputy, engaging in a high-speed street race with another motorcyclist. Authorities said Espinal, who claimed he wasn’t racing, appeared to be speeding nearly 90 mph in a 45 mph zone. Espinal told officers he was trying to impress his girlfriend before they took him into custody and charged him with reckless driving and racing on the highway. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie breaks it down.

  1. So this poor guy made an honest mistake, was respectful and cooperative and gets the book thrown at him. The other guy basically flees from the police, they made no attempts to pursue him or find him so he basically gets away scot free, am i the only one who sees the @ss-backwardness of this whole thing?

  2. These guys aren’t experts. Cut the crap. Issue tickets and get going. You aren’t that man’s mommy or daddy. We all make mistakes and even get caught once or twice in life. He/she who talks most tries to throw book at someone else has the most to hide and really isn’t a good person 😈

  3. I think he should sue the department for violating his 4th amendment. That officer removed the key from his bike without a warrant, that's no different than a cop reaching in your vehicle and removing the key. They think because it's a bike that this isn't a violation but I would love to see this challenged in court and set a new precedent for the people's rights.

  4. To everyone saying he shouldn't have gotten more than a ticket. He's a police officer. He should be held to a higher standard to respect and follow the rules. This is likely the reason he was arrested.

  5. This is why you do not stop …you try to do the right thing and pull over and hope everything gonna work out but cops will always f*** to the most that they could now the poor guy could possibly lose his job for a little pull

  6. Should I take that the court he has no proof other than him admitting that he was doing over the speed limit there's no video evidence showing that he was weaving in and out of traffic are doing illegal Lane changing

  7. On a 1000cc bike like the s1k he was riding just pulling the throttle from 40mph for 2 secs will get you to 90 he likely wasn’t racing for more than a few seconds he also pulled over and was respectful i honestly think he got off worse because he was a deputy and the other cops likely know this was gonna go viral and didn’t want it to look like they were letting him off for being a deputy so they threw the book at him
