  1. If Americans didn't have weapons at home, these incidents would NOT happen. They say the lad was the clue of the family lol if a child is the only person that holds a family together then there is something seriously wrong with this family.

  2. No one wants to take responsibility for their child’s actions anymore. Why did he possess a gun at that age and why did the mother not know about it. You have a duty as a parent to know what your children are involved with. This is NOT 100% on the girl who discharged that firearm. Did he even ask HER parents if he could bring a gun into THEIR home???? This grieving mother is placing blame where it shouldn’t be. Take some responsibility for your own child’s actions and acknowledge your mistakes.

  3. He bought a loaded gun to their house. 90% of this is his fault. This is not victim blaming its the truth. Theres a difference between book smart and street smart. Playing with a gun and pointing at each isn't smart at all.

  4. Kids are curious they don’t understand gun safety and something like this happens – but that girl totally knew what she was doing and deliberately killed my son 🙄

  5. Your 16-year-old son has a handgun which he is treating like a toy, you don’t even know if your son is dating this girl you have to ask detectives about that, and when bad things happen of course it is somebody else’s fault. I think you raised your son to have the attitude that got him killed.

  6. I’m sorry, but if I was the mom, I will understand OK my son had a gun he wasn’t supposed to he was playing with it and it accidentally went off. Nobody actually truly tried to kill my son and my son didn’t have the gun and didn’t bring it over there he will still be alive. I should’ve been in my son’s life way moredamn well he shouldn’t have a gun at all

  7. She said kids don’t know gun safety but she saying that the girl knew and shot him on purpose, she doesn’t make any sense tbh. But I do think kids make mistakes )): 😢 hope she heals and her family is well. ): RIP DAVID.

  8. Guns 100% kill people, you’d think she’d understand that after her son took one from her house without her knowledge and it ended in his death…

  9. A foolish and avoidable tragedy. The victim is as at fault as the child who held the gun though. Frankly the mother is at fault, why did he have access to a gun?

  10. If i were on the jury, i would have to say not guilty, because of this mothers negligence in not knowing her son had a gun. I am sure if this girl had not shot him, he would have done it to some one else. I think it was an accident, these parents dont know what their children are doing its a sad case

  11. Play with fire and you may get burned. So, no concern of how he obtained the weapon? I would say since he was an aspiring "rapper" that he got influenced by the culture. Life is not a game or a rap video, one wrong move like this and it's lights out. I hope others learn from this.

  12. The girl should not be charged she is not guilty of manslaughter! It’s his fault for bringing the gun in the first place it’s very unfortunate but it’s a hard lesson to learn
