The only reason he doesn't like this show, is because he can't censor or rewrite anything that makes OJ looks good. He only wants the audience to see him as a monster. Even though it was Glen Rogers (not OJ) who killed Ron and Nicole.
OJ didnt kill Nicole, a serial killer named Glen Rogers did. However, OJ, not knowing that Rogers was a killer, sent him to Nicole's apt to steal a pair of diamond earrings he'd given her years earlier. So he was liable. But Rogers had planned on killing Nicole anyway.

Kim and Fred in their grief wanted it to be OJ. If they are grieving less since substantial time has passed they might see OJ never murdered them. Ron put up a hell of a fight and whoever did it would have had lots of injuries. What no one realises is that when OJ was found innocent the police never bothered to find the real murderer. They let the murderer get away with multiple murders because they too wantef it to be OJ.

I still don't think it would've hurt if the first 20min of one episode showed some of Ron's life, like his volunteer work, his appearance on STUDS, his friendship with Nicole, his plans to open his own restaurant, and ending the sequence with him walking to the crime scene with Juditha Brown's glasses.

the thing is this show was just meant to capture the atmosphere of the time, the fact they underplayed Ron and Nichols presence was technically accurate for the time, i mean i get this was their son but i fear they've taken the intention of the show the wrong way

I read all the comments and most of you just don't get it. The Goldman's want justice brought to the man that brutally murdered their son Ron. The man is question is OJ Simpson. He may have been a role model, he was certainly a sports hero in his time but he is now a cold blooded murderer. I repeat…..he is a cold blooded murderer. Any book, interview, mini series or media interview that does not convey this FACT explicitly is an injustice to the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown.

In the "If I did it" he says he mocked Ron for going into a "karate " stance and said "do you really think you can kick my ass" how would OJ know Ron knew karate? and his leg was stabbed while he was kicking. The Goldmans come off as unlikable for some reason, especially against a well known and charismatic person like OJ Simpson, but they were always correct. OJ Simpson murdered their son. Staying in front of cameras and reminding people about the victims is what they should do so that we don't forget what this was really all about. Fred Goldman has shown great restraint and character in not getting justice for his son through other means.

And as for the beginning, it's a pure artistic choice to firstly and lately not show the real victims at all, because essentially, yes, in media they were lost and became just bodies and matter of OJ's celebrity status quickly took over
It's hard for me to ''kinda'' blame the true living victims/parents, but I've yet to see a film or TV show, that tried it's absolute best to show empathy and that weird feeling of not understanding as American Crime Story did. They really tried, yes, it's obvious that no such grief can be be directed thoroughly, but the makers of it truly tried their best.
