  1. Right there! Your typical raciest cops that don’t know the law! And are not protecting the public but hurting the public! Sick!

  2. Elkhart is a horrible city in Indiana. There are so many violent crimes, sexual assault, and thievery. I've heard of so many horrible home invasion crimes from that city.

  3. It would have been easy to have the manager come out and make an ID before the handcuffs. The cops are required to do a minimal investigation. It’s an F for acting solely on the call.

  4. The fact you added the last remark is poignant. The bystanders stepped to insure the teens were safe ….. from the people who are supposed to protect and serve. Those officers show not only a lack of knowledge of the law, but an over blown ego against “punk kids who’d dare to question them”.

  5. This looks like a knock on effect when the community loses trust in their officers, the officers lose trust in their community. It just gets worse from there.

If the officer was telling the truth and the manager or someone had specifically pointed the kids out then to me it just seems like an unfortunate situation, and if anything the manager is to blame for not clearing it up, again if the officers were telling the truth and the manager didn't want to.

  6. Yet, everything LEO do is an "investigation." It appears they are not trained to investigate, they seem trained ONLY how to effect an arrest. Especially if one is innocent.
