Every woman with mommy issues I've known all say I'm nothing like my mother. Yet, they all are just like their moms. Sometimes more evil, too.

“Us psychologists” do not consider Munchhausen syndrome or Munchhausen by proxy a conversion disorder! Basically speaking, people with Munchhausen, or Munchhausen by proxy, do not believe they have a physical illness, but feign illness or purposely bring-on medical issues primarily for attention, Or in the case of by proxy fan, feign illness in someone else for whom they are the primary caregiver, to gain attention, admiration, sympathy, awe, and other things related to caring for such a “sick individual”. On the other hand, conversion disorder is when someone who has psychiatric symptoms, particularly those that may cause physical symptoms i.e. like anxious people that may have stomach pain, convert the symptoms they are truly experiencing into an illness they then convince themselves they have. If anything, we would call Munchhausen a Factitious Disorder (or in the case of a proxy, medical abuse). Not sure who this “expert” is or where he gets his information from!!

Right that girl must have known she was fine as she was older. She played along with her mother to fleece lots of people for money to live a lie. She had ample opportunity to contact the authorities. She murdered her mother pre-meditated. So yes should serve time. Twisted
Her mother should never have been allowed to take this facade as far as she did.
When you spend so much time in a wheel chair. You get muscle wasted in your legs. And have to get use to walking again to get your legs stronger. And you lose confidence. So she couldn’t have spent that much in a wheelchair as she could just get out and start walking about normally like she did sneaking out at nite.

Dee Dee having a mental illness doesn’t mean that she didn’t know right from wrong. It also doesn’t mean she couldn’t control herself. She was capable and responsible for behaving appropriately as a parent. I think she was extremely selfish and chose cruelty to isolate and control her daughter.
I really feel for Gypsy, And at the same time if you really think about it, This really back fire on Nicholas , Cause Gypsy is A millionaire now. I wonder who there for Nicholas now.
The real question is whether she will be able to function in the real world without swaying other people into her la la land with further bad consequences. Quite frankly I very much doubt that during eight years in prison she will have had the therapy needed to firstly truly understand what she did and take RESPONSIBILITY for HER actions, and secondly to be able to cope as a normal person without falling straight back into the ‘poor me, you must look after me’ manipulative persona. She already seems to be playing the same game…. Unfortunately I think she will play everyone in her life going forward too. Hopefully it just won’t be any other people to commit murder for her. (Don’t forget that HE is in jail for the rest of HIS life while she is being cutsie for her FB fans.)

I think there’s a healthy middle ground between ‘she deserves to rot in jail’ and ‘it was self defense why did she even go to prison’. She had no freedom before jail and now this is her first taste of real freedom. Let her live her life, she’s done her time. if you hate her, don’t watch, and if you think she shouldn’t have gone to jail, she did, so move on.
I understand her pain, but murder? That was the only way out? No. She got out of prison way too soon.

He said he never saw her after she was 8… then again his quotes here are like he saw her more… this whole thing is so weird. No conversion disorder and Munchhausen syndrome are not the same! Conversion syndrome is when someone really has physical manifestations of illness without physical evidence. Muchhausen syndrome or fictitious disorder is when you knowingly fake or make yourself sick for medical attention.
Sometimes the narrator or the reporter or whoever is presenting the story ruins the experience. I can’t handle 2 more seconds of her delivery style and it makes me angry cause this is my favorite channel to follow stories. 😢
