The gloves are reinforced with pads.. I’m this day and age why aren’t all police vehicle equipped with cameras facing the front seats and cabin? Why aren’t all police wearing body cams?

Those are NOT padded gloves. Those are motorcycle gloves with reinforced knuckles. Those type of gloves even come in steel or titanium knuckle. A cute way to skirt around a "dangerous weapon" charge.
Those gloves look like the same ones I wore when I rode motorcycle. They are reinforced to protect the knuckles in case you come off your bike and hit concrete. Prevent shattering of the bones. A carbon fiber or kevlar option is available which is sandwiched in-between the inner leather and the outer leather. Most are carbon fiber to prevent basic plastic from shattering and causing more damage to the ridder. Love the part where he says he doesn't wear them anymore but had to previously to do his job, because of his job. But is fine not wearing them now.

Need some discovery on these "padded" gloves. Ask where he got them (issued or bought personally), where he keeps them (at home or in a locker at work) and then get a warrant to go fetch them! Then suggest he let the counsel punch him with them… they're padded right so it should not hurt!

In the original video, time frame 2:10 to 2:15, you can see blood on the face of the man sitting in the police car. I am retired military and had a pair of those 'padded' gloves. I could punch concrete and it would not hurt me; like a thin layer of hard Kevlar covering the knuckles. "Yes, I got his blood on my gloves; right around the ring finger-NOT the knuckle; you know it takes quite a bit of blood to stand out on black 'padded' gloves like that. Then got this man arrested using a report that I lied on."
