Heroic cop: Fort Worth Police Officer Matt Pearce shares story

2. I remember that night very clearly. First we heard he had been shot and evacuated to the trauma unit. Then a report came from the hospital that they had to sedate him because he was upset that he couldn't leave the hospital and go back out there and catch that guy.
   Then out there in the field where they were searching for the guy's son, the fine civilian citizens were trying to join the search for the son but had to content themselves with keeping watch from their porches with their weapons locked and loaded in case the son wandered nearby. This is one of a few times since I've been living in Fort Worth that the whole city has come together with one purpose and that was to stop evil.

37. Honestly.. I don’t think this was heroic . Clearly the men in the pursuit had nothing to Lose. It was executed poorly. I know that Matt’s a cop and his duty was to protect and serve but this wasn’t a smart chase. My opinion .
