The stated reason, in this post, prosecutors don't pursue police crimes is they don't feel they can win the case. I know of no law anywhere that defines a prosecutors job as winning a case. Their job should be and is to present evidence to the judicial system that a crime or crimes were committed. Winning or losing a case is to be determined at the trial. Refusing to indict a person with privileged status when the gathered evidence indicates they committed a crime is blatant malpractice.
