  1. When somebody talks like that, my first thought is they probably have brain damage when they were younger or an underlying mental issue like schizophrenia because they’re in really trying to think about their thought. That’s why there’s a lot of long pauses which I’ve been around people who have had brain damage as a kid and schizophrenia.

  2. The one thing that I’m learning about this is if you’re a woman that solicits prostitution, there is literally no consequences. You don’t go to jail you pay a little fine you miss your court date up while we’re going to give you another fine and just release you. Like I thought prostitution was a crime, but I guess it’s a misdemeanor.

  3. I think they need to redo the gender crime statistics because they haven’t done it since 2006 and reoffending rates hasn’t been done since 1998 and the fact that this woman has been arrested for over 100 times or doesn’t even know how many times she’s been arrested shows that there’s probably been an uptick of reoffending women

  4. In some parts of Nevada, having a fruit producing olive tree is ILLEGAL, so the tree cutting lady could have reported her landlord to the city code enforcement and they would have made the landlord remove the tree.

In Canada, escorting is legal as long as the money is just for the persons time. Then whatever activities occur during that time are just activities between consenting adults.

The menacing guy is creepy, but I get the feeling that he has some mental health issues that need treatment, exactly what he has is hard to say but I hope the judge decides that he needs a mental health assessment.

  5. If you're going to work in the jail, you need to be able to be empathetic. That female guard wasn't at all with the woman who came in crying. Even after finding out that the woman is mentally ill, she still didn't have any empathy and threatened to put her in a cold cell without anything for warmth as a punishment for crying. That's legally defined as torture and is not allowed as punishment, but is regularly used anyway. ACAB all the way and that female guard is another example of why. People are already having a horrible day being arrested, you don't have to make it any worse with poor attitude and zero empathy. I don't expect anything different from PDX cops though.

  6. They do seem a little excessive just to get someone already handcuffed to walk to a room. If someone is in for dui wouldn't you assume they are drunk and just leave them alone for a while before starting the process? Instead they confront them, get in an altercation, bust them up a little bit and then let them sober up for a while. Just seems counterproductive to me.

  7. The solicitation and 40 states conversion that young woman had with that officer screams human trafficking. Just the way he responded was so unnecessary , especially since she was not formally even charged yet. Making comments about her parents being proud of her. Maybe should have kept that to himself.

  8. The women that been charged with soliciting it’s very sad that she thinks that’s what she is! But she is not getting younger, all of this will catch up to her later. There must be a program for such ladies that will teach them a craft that will save them, as lots of them don’t know what to do or how to make a living other than this.
