Maya Kowalski, the subject of Netlfix’s “Take Care of Maya” documentary, took the stand Monday in her family’s civil trial against Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Kowalski emotionally recalled the last time she saw her mom, Beata Kowalski, before she took her own life in the garage of their family home. “I never saw her again,” Kowalski tearfully said. Kowalski testified she was kept away from her mother and father while being treated at the hospital, stating staff kept her separated from her parents.

  1. What the f*** not only should they get sued but they should lose their license for what they did to her I have been hospitalized numerous times and been seriously abused by hospitals they've all gotten away with their bulshit. But what they did to this young girl is damaging for the rest of her life including losing her mother because of it

  3. What a nice lady smiling in the background, not paying attention to what’s going on around you or watching a funny video. I’m not sure but no sympathy there. People are cold.

  4. My mom was a young mother when she took my sister because she had an allergic reaction to food. The doctors saw some bruises because she fell playing in the park and accused my mom of abuse so they went to get security or something and my mom quickly dressed my sister and ran away from that hospital. Luckily she did because who knows if they did something similar to her. At that time, children were stolen easily as well. my heart hurts for this family 😢

  5. What this girl went through could have been side effects of too much ketamines, extreme muscle weakness as the side effect is listed as paralysis, and pain due to dissociation. They blamed the mother.😢

  6. Kann mir jemand erklären was das Piku ist? Leider weiß ich nicht wie das richtig geschrieben wird und der Übersetzer von Google kennt das Wort scheinbar auch nicht.

  7. I’m glad they got that settlement. They had no right to keep the parents away from their kids. They push them women to unalived herself.

  8. What I don’t guess is how all the part involved are still working at the hospital! How disgusting. Social services persecuted a mom without proof of abuse, but in the Gabriel Fernandez’ case where was pretty much purple at child protection services offices and they chose to ignore it! What an excellent job they’re doing 🤬🤬🤬🤬

  9. I also feel sorry for her brother. I just watched this on Netflix and 2 things that breaks my heart, one is when their parents fight and you could hear how her brother tried to comfort the mother. Second is how her brother also witnessed the mother in the garage, you could hear he's crying

  10. I thought school shootings were awful. This is one of the most gut wrenching horrific tragedies in modern medicine. What the “professionals” did to this family is horrendous. Medicine is highly complex. You cannot diagnose people just by looking at them!

  11. This lawyer telling her to “have some water“ really rubs me the wrong way. His tone and his unsolicited direction just bug me.
